Because the question isnβt whether the talent exists. Itβs whether the industry is willing to give whatβs needed in order to gain whatβs possible.
#InternationalWomensDay #IWD #GiveToGain #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs
Right now, learning disabled and autistic women and gender non-conforming artists are still being shut out of too many creative spaces.
Swipe through to meet some of the women at AAA, artists, leaders and facilitators already doing the work.
This International Womenβs Day, the theme is #GiveToGain.
At Access All Areas, we see this in action every day. We know that when you give space, trust, power and access, you gain bolder art, braver stories, and a richer, more exciting industry.
Together, they bring a powerful mix of lived and professional experience.
We also want to say a heartfelt thank you to the trustees who are stepping down. Your time, care and commitment have helped shape AAA into what it is today, and your impact will last π

We canβt talk about the Diploma without Nick, who co-founded it. He now teaches masterclasses across Live Art, Immersive Theatre and the Writers Lab, helping keep the course connected to its roots and to our wider artist development work. π
As Course Leader, Helen guides students from start to finish, teaching Playing and Devising, Acting Fundamentals and Immersive Theatre. She is a driving force behind the course. π₯
Mairi is Head of Short Courses at @cssdlondon and co-leads the Diploma in partnership with us. Sheβs a trained actor and facilitator and brings a wealth of industry experience and shares it generously with students. π
Charlene is a writer, director, devisor, actor, facilitator and access consultant. As a powerful role model with a gift for spotting hidden strengths, sheβs a natural fit as co-facilitator. π
We are back introducing more of the brilliant tutors leading our Performance Making Diploma at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama this year. β¨

Disabled artists deserve stable, reliable support to do our best work and grow long term careers.
Please share to help keep this issue visible.

Some of our masterclasses involve big gestures and dramatic poses...some are about focusing on the details.
January masterclass with Voice Coach, Christopher Holt was all about breath, being aware of the rib cage, and listening to our bodies.
Serious focus and essential skills being developed.π£οΈ
