My Overture/Source Coop/Cloud downloader QGIS plug-in is live! It lets you download a GeoParquet or GeoPackage for just your view port from hosted GeoParquet files.
Check it out at plugins.qgis.org/plugins/qgis... and install it by searching for 'GeoParquet Downloader' in the QGIS plugin manager.
