So I went over to the pickup counter to ask for it again and was told that it wasn't there. We eventually got it sorted and I have it now, but for a time there you'd almost have to say it was a transcendental medication
Last week our dog was prescribed a new medication. Our pharmacy filled in last Tuesday. I've been in twice since then to ask for it only to be told it wasn't there. I finally asked for it again by name yesterday at the drop off counter and was told it had been ready for a few days (cont'd)
What can I say? The stuff that almost always comes back to cause problems is what you think you know that just ain’t so, even if it’s just a dumb joke about a chicken.
I feel like the majority of us have probably never considered an alternate meaning for that joke, and this conversation has been a useful reminder to remain open to listening to differing perspectives.
A coworker of mine solved this problem by planting a Nespresso machine that he picked up on sale on his desk in our shared office.
That's news to me. I've always understood that the humour is in the idea that the uproariously funny punchline you're expecting to hear has been replaced by a simple statement of fact.
