I mean they would just make it about intent: it's already a crime to access a computer system in order to do illegal things, for example (“accessing computer system for dishonest purpose”)

Cooking Instructions Mmm...chips. The following cooking instructions are for a full tray of McCain Chips For smaller quantities reduce the cooking time accordingly. For best results cook from frozen. "Do not overcook and watch carefully during the final minutes of preparation.

most checks are resolved in one roll, Criticals become a bit more of a hype moment (break out the special dice), it’s very close to table-based results
note for high skills: a roll >95 is always a failure, you need to fall back to tables when skills exceed 100
no-tables #Runequest rolls:
d100 vs target
1 = Critical, 100 = Fumble
increasing numbers (67, not 76) or doubles ≤ target are Special
if needed (e.g. combat) doubles might be Criticals: roll another d100 ≤ your roll to confirm
doubles over target might be Fumbles, roll > your roll to confirm
a smaller circle of “rules the players need to know”
I like this for lore/world as well: things required by the rules, things we must to agree on, things we can negotiate, things which don’t matter (fluff)
e.g. Mothership puts a bunch of lore in the negotiate column when people expect it “harder”
Chapter 1 of Moby Dick, page 1 The phrase ‘Call me Ishmael’, the first sentence of the book, is highlighted in blue, with careful highlighting on the very big C at the start. Above this, written in ballpoint pen ‘His name’
Love the glimpse into the beautiful mind that notated this used copy of Moby Dick I got

it’s also my least favourite out of any spec I’ve implemented
it’s probably not a great sign that the official W3C RDFa test suite has contained syntactically-invalid files for 7 years and no one has noticed/complained

there must be literature that is published only in Braille, right?
If you liked this experiment, I published a full piece today in the same vein: a text that gets 100 years older with every section, from a modern blog post to a medieval chronicle.
It's a single story spanning 1000 years of English. See how far you get.

it’s a pity the game developer (Zoink) got absorbed
she can play it all by herself now and has finished the game 5 times over (!)
possible that this will be available as an add-on to the current campaign?
modern mandatory passports date from the outbreak of WWI so unfortunately this is an entirely European problem 😅
I think from a business perspective they basically don’t care about the RPGs at all: they don’t sell minis, but it’s sorta free licensing money
... ah, turns out Acecco is in liquidation
Lim Mt Albert looked like that and got bought out by Acceco, and now Acceco's shelves are looking the same way ...
it seems to be the year of “everyone loves Borges now”; three of the novels I’ve read so far (Katabasis, RF Kuang; Martyr!; Kaveh Akbar; Greek Lessons, Han Kang) have referenced him
