Thanks! I did.
Thanks! I did.
Excellent. Glad to hear it.
Thatβs an awful place to be. Iβm sorry youβre in it. I hope you can find some calm. That book looks beautiful. I know a hug isnβt going to fix anything, but Iβm sending one mentally anyway.
Thatβs rotten. I really hope they straighten it out.
I see you. Was there a new update? I havenβt encountered the age verification yet.
An infinite green coordinate grid seen in perspective against a black background. The standard parabola is plotted in blue, and integer points are marked with gold dots. From our vantage point, the parabola is circular, with two limbs stretching toward the horizon at infinity. The equation of the parabola floats at this vanishing point on the y-axis.
Working on a set of mathematical postcards, both digital "scenes" and overlays on photos. Here we see the parabola y=x^2, a conic section, as a circle.
For now this is a 3-inch matte black self-adhesive sticker:

ββ¦to love, to suffer, to create and live in a cruel world, to absorb and sometime inflict harm, to love music for its solace, while recognizing that it does not cure all our ills β and yet to hope; to overcome, to give in to the beauties and the ugliness of living a life.β

The sleeves are great. Thatβs a beautiful jacket!
I heard a music critic call this a βpost-therapyβ album, not entirely disrespectfully, and I think thereβs something to that. Itβs full of pain, but clearly comes from someone who has learned how to process that pain and turn it into a beacon for the rest of us. Really beautiful.
This is wonderful. Itβs spoken word poetry and electronic dance music that feels like an endless epiphany: deep wisdom with a club beat.
Listening to *I know youβre hurting, everyone is hurting, everyone is trying, you have got to try.* by Joshua Idehen
i was burning again
feet in the ether
head deep in the pitch
i was a sleeping giant
turning again
spitted skewered afrighted
good morning said the night crew
and to you and to you and you.
Itβs from the fist track, βMatchesβ
Listening to a new folk-rock album from Katherine Priddy and the fist word that comes to mind is βbewitching,β which is fitting for this song in particular. I love this lyric:
βRemember you who tell the tale
of how we climbed those pyres
They weren't burning witches
it was women on those firesβ
Sorry to hear it. I hope your cat is ok and/or they can help!
Listening to this now and itβs wonderful. If you need something to bring your heart rate down just a little, but still move you, this is it.
Listening to this now. I love the way Shabaka never stops experimenting and trying new things. Every album is a discovery.

A mammoth sculpture with a looping video of a man moving in the sculpture running in the background on a white screen
A sculpture of a great burst of flowers springing from the prone body of a body sculpted in black
A sculpture of a mammoth skeleton with phonographs springing from the stand
Nick Caveβs Mammoth exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery is dope
This one again, as we wait for the new album from these legendary legends, here's a desert island album. Jazzsky #jazz
Wow. Iβm sold.
Will do! Those are good recs. Nirvana: The Band: The Show: The Movie doesnβt appear to be available at the moment, but Iβm excited to see it when I can.
Itβs very intense. Iβm glad I watched it, but I donβt know if Iβd recommend it to someone else who might be unsure. I am definitely going to have to find something light to read or watch now.
It was probably a bad idea to watch The Deer Hunter for the first time while in a rough mental health place, and it did sort of wreck me, but I thought it was incredible.
I am studying for my Latin American midterm (two chapters down, one to go) and I have two completely different songs competing in my head as study music.
Do you need a new earworm?
1) Cumbia with a whole lot of marimba

Awesome. Iβll add it to my list!
Oh cool. I will make sure to check those out. Thanks!
