I heard a music critic call this a “post-therapy” album, not entirely disrespectfully, and I think there’s something to that. It’s full of pain, but clearly comes from someone who has learned how to process that pain and turn it into a beacon for the rest of us. Really beautiful.

It’s very intense. I’m glad I watched it, but I don’t know if I’d recommend it to someone else who might be unsure. I am definitely going to have to find something light to read or watch now.
It was probably a bad idea to watch The Deer Hunter for the first time while in a rough mental health place, and it did sort of wreck me, but I thought it was incredible.
I am studying for my Latin American midterm (two chapters down, one to go) and I have two completely different songs competing in my head as study music.
