I can see that, I just never have a good feeling about it when a series head leaves their studio for more creative freedom and immediately makes the same sort of game, and it didnt really feel like a Shenmue to Yakuza situation where the old series was clearly busted and had deep rooted issues
Honestly I always had a bad feeling about it, with how these "big creator leaves their studio to go make the same game again" projects often go. LaD games could come out so regularly because they had decades of institutional knowledge and assets to reuse, but this didn't have that advantage at all
