Instead Bluesky prioritizes giving blue checkmarks to people who proudly stand on the platform of wanting all my friends dead, making moderation an individual problem, folds immediately to government pressures, and bends the knee to Mastercard
No principles, just profit- and rent-seeking ghouls

Which isn't a surprise at all, people who are backed by VC money and creatively bankrupt can only trace over the old lines and jingle keys as capitalism demands an infinite amount of more
Still, I'd like to have some basic features that are available elsewhere, like notification filtering

I will continue to insist that Bluesky is Twitter 2 because it's not given me any reason to think otherwise
It is LASER-focused on recreating everything that kinda-sorta worked in the past, but more importantly drove advertising dollars and profits. AT Protocol is a joke and and afterthought

Like if you really think Bluesky, the VC-backed corporation, is going to prioritize and protect their userbase and artistic integrity over their next funding round, the whims of government agencies around the world, or however Mastercard is feeling today, you have made a mistake.

ActivityPub / Mastodon, for its various faults and occasionally overbearing social rules, at least gives you control over making a descriptive warning.
Bluesky doesn't have that because everything needs to be in advertiser-friendly boxes that they can throw out at a moment's notice.

Twitter 2's - I mean, Bluesky's - content warning self-labeling system. The options under Adult Content are Suggestive, Nudity, Adult, and, in a separate box labeled Other, Graphic Media.
I know Bluesky, the corporation, has no ideas beyond "what if Twitter again" as a for-profit industry, and their content warning system is as good an indication as any for why.
It's not there to provide meaningful labels, it's just there so they can tell Visa people won't accidentally see a nipple.

Checking the last handful of things I probably need to do before I scrub my old highlights on Twitch (I'm not even going to bother making new ones at this point)
If I go to the last page, I can't go to the previous page. It only lets me go to the next page, which loops back to the first page

I am desperate for OBS to add proper APNG image support instead of having to use Browser / Media source work-arounds
It doesn't feel like it'll ever happen because any time I've looked it up it just results in people being screamed out of the room in forum / GitHub Issue & Discussion threads

Accidental rant over, I'd like them to live up to the initial pitch of AT Protocol as a protocol, not a single app/website, but that's clearly never going to happen, not when it's built on the back of VC money and a promise of profitability

I give it a year, at best, before VC money running out and *other pressures* cause Discover and other algorithms to be shoved into feeds in general and fulfill the Twitter 2 prophecy
Videos don't even load correctly right now and they're already pushing those to compete with other sites

It's so weird, the rationale makes no sense to me.
Unless you've got a fresh account following nobody, you have to opt in to view it, so people see what the algorithm serves up and get mad at the poster as though it's their fault
Have people just willingly dis-empowered themselves that much?

Might as well see if there's anything about my overlay I can offload to my second bootleg streaming PC, since right now it purely handles outputting the stream and recording
OBS usually screams at me with the rage of a thousand angry ghosts with how I run it on my main PC so I'm not optimistic atm

Something I'd love to do with ENDLESS BOMBERMAN / BOMBERBET down the line is see if I can palette swap some of the sprites.
All the SFTL androids have a signature color, and I'd like to draw a background at some point of them playing and reacting, so matching colors to them would be fun

Soooo... that's why I'm at a bit of a loss as to why these relatively simple things suddenly stopped working with the update.
I do a lot of tinkering with OBS overlays and automations via SAMMI so I'm used to fixing what I broke. This was noticeable because it seems related to the version of Core.

The only differences in any other Alpha Filter command that triggers during the same scene are the delay (7000ms compared to 0ms / 6500ms for the others).
The automation is part of my intro, and presses a separate button to "unlock" chat.
Both of these work fine when I roll back to 2024.4.0.

There's two key issues that started with 2025.1.0, and I haven't been able to pinpoint the cause; one is that a Motion: Alpha Filter doesn't kick in during a specific scene, and another is that an automated button I use to "lock/unlock" chat (emote only, follow for X days, etc.) fails to trigger.

Hey, thanks for reaching out! I realize I was more hostile than I needed to be in my initial moments of frustration and let it get the best of me. I'm a bit embarrassed about that, and don't want to downplay the work you and the rest of the SAMMI team do. It's pretty much the backbone of my streams.

My PC has no sound output from Windows right now. Why? Who knows! It just does this now! Reboot, idiot
Hope you don't click on the weird search bar to copy things in Windows Explorer, because clicking back into that window will trigger a privacy nightmare drop-down you can't turn off. Yay!

I'm generally averse to the barriers of entry for Linux and will frog punch in the throat anyone who mentions switching to Apple in my presence, but Windows has become such a broken mess that I'm genuinely going to have to look more into the "friendly" Linux distros at this point

They released a 2025.1.1 update that fixed the prior 2025.1.0 update ~18 hours later, citing fixes to "Wait for Timeout" commands, but I think there's other things that were busted

Installed the newer version of SAMMI (stream deck software) the other day, and finally rolled it back today.
I don't know WHAT they did with the most recent update, but it broke a ton of automations I set up for the stream
