Details of an event on Sunday 22 March at 4pm at Great St Mary's. Choral Evensong followed at 5.15pm by a panel discussion on hope in the face of environmental crisis.
Great St Mary's church in the centre of Cambridge is one recipient of our Scientists in Congregations awards scheme.
This event, coming up later in March, is a great example of how they're facilitating conversations on sustainability between local scientists and the church community β¬οΈ

Hope is not a pre-requisite β ECLAS
How do we keep going, when nothing seems likely to change? Perhaps hope isn't the only answer.
"I donβt wake up every morning filled with optimism about the state of the world.
"But I can wake up committed to doing the next thing that moves me toward an improved, manifest future: writing, teaching, making small changes where I can."

Steering by Starlight
Around the world, star stories help people to make meaning out of their place in the world. Knowing more about these stories deepens our appreciation for the Star of Bethlehem.
St Paul's Cathedral are sharing our Advent New Narratives this December, starting with 'Steering by Starlight.'
It explores how, throughout history, seeking knowledge from the stars has shaped our understanding of the universe and our place in it.
