Minnesota lawmaker Katie Jones rode in a cargo e-bike to the hospital for her baby's birth. Her husband, Peter Schmitt, pedaled the two miles there.
On the return journey, their son Hans โ all 8 pounds and 1 ounce of him โ was bundled up and handled it just fine, Jones said.

We should be getting to the point where we can figure out some sort of "for every % point increase in rent, x number of people become homeless". As a result we could establish the cost to the state via emergency housing costs and how much money is indirectly subsidising landlords.

The promoters of this "board of peace" will end up in The Hague, right? Surely they won't get away with this madness. The world hasn't gone this insane, I'm sure it hasn't.

This is, by far, the best business book I ever read. I just bought it probably for the 30th time. All previous copies I gave them to someone who needed to read it. This one I'm keeping.

Sounds like the UK could soon be taking a sharp right turn. The country is broken and dysfunctional, but there's plenty space for further deterioration.
I used to enjoy the joke about Idiocracy being a documentary of the future. It's not so funny anymore.

The previous government cared, but voters showed different priorities at the last elections and the current government is reflecting that. We're getting what "we asked" for. It sucks.

They're playing chicken with the government and the government seems to be losing. This isn't just about a committee, but about who runs the show.

Here's an idea for the RSA: instead of begging drivers to observe the law, why not beg the AGS to enforce it - last I checked, they're paid to do it already, so not sure what other incentives might be needed...

I couldn't agree more. While they ignore the proper solutions, they come up with policies that will do nothing to address road violence.
