What's the one thing you wouldn't compromise on if it came down to it at work? Hard choice, I know. But I'll start: integrity.

At times I wonder if I'm in an episode of The Twilight Zone! The world seems to need a rollback to 2016 or thereabouts!
Officially on vacation now for festive season. Taking the weekend off before I start Christmas projects and things I couldn't get to due to day-to-day work. Some of which are team related. Oh and putting up decorations. Fun, fun, fun.
I have exactly the same aim as part of my Christmas downtime projects this year. Just to see how far it is possible to go.
It's been a pleasure!!

We've worked with David for years at Red Hat in the Newcastle office and lots of good feedback from the people he's coached. Thoroughly recommend for others even outside of Newcastle :)
Took my wife walking with wolves (yes, real wolves!) for her birthday last week. Wonderful experience. Magnificent animals.
About to take a week off. Wondering what I'll come back to and hence what value I bring ;) ?
We roasted @emmanuelbernard.com the other day as a way of sending him off into the wilderness from Red Hat :( It was a great event and though with sadness there was a lot of love and respect.
Congratulations to Tim Ellison for stepping into the Primary EC role at the JCP (jcp.org/aboutJava/co...) It's time for me to step back after all these years and Tim is a worthy successor.
My evening out with my wife ...
Making things better for the company and the team doesn't have to mean doing anything mutually exclusive!
It was a busy week at work in Hursley.
I value words of thanks from people in my teams more than from my peers or higher.
Integrity is entirely within your control. It's important to maintain that control or nothing else counts.
Glad to have you in my team no matter what company we work at :)
When you work with people for years and grow to like and respect them I think they become family. On the one hand it makes it hard if you have to separate but on the other hand it's a proud moment. Doesn't make it easy though.
Sometimes I think my language may not be befitting a VP of any company. But it's me and I probably can't change by now ;)
Did first Town Hall for combined IBM and Red Hat teams this week. Now need to figure out how to do engineering only All Hands and move forward together :)
It's been a long week! Both for me :)
Who are you ;) ?
I'm definitely not an "I'm doing it because I've been told to do it" kind of guy and more an "I'm doing it because it's the right thing to do" kind of guy. If you don't like that then ... SMD :)

Hanlon's Razor is in full force these days.
Recently this feels more like me than at any other time.
Can’t go over it, can’t go under it, can’t go around it, gonna have to try posting my way through it*
