Spelunky is one of those games where my headspace factors a lot more into my performance than other difficult games, but I wrapped my Switch save up in a nice bow tonight. Spelunky 2 humbled me though, I'm a few years out of practice on that one so I'll debate going back to the grindstone
yes!
And one of the biggest pain points is developing those routines in the first place. Creating alarms and reminders is helpful, for about a week or two. But once that routine begins to normalize, all of those developed habits often fade back into the nebulous ether of my mind and it's a struggle again
It's hard to explain ADHD. Outside of things like not finding the right words in spoken conversation, it's difficult to maintain routines
I take unrelated medication twice a day. I have a chart. Alerts set up. But all it takes is 1 idle minute after dismissing my alarm to forget my pill for hours
being the little spoon kind of owns
i apologize shitty tiktok text to speech voice. i apologize child with a cell phone from 2008 using windows movie maker. i apologize unintelligible guy with a meandering five minute intro. come back...we need you...
sometimes you one-shot spelunky, sometimes you can't get a run off the ground for hours. c'est la vie π₯΄
I bought Spelunky HD 5 times (idk lol) over the years and I thought I had a Hell run cleared on each one, but I noticed my Switch save is incomplete. I feel a sudden obligation to fix this tonight
Castlevania Dominus Collection for Switch featuring Shanoa on the box art
figured why not, and I didn't pay a limited run a dime π
lol what a game
is it valid that my desire to play Order of Ecclesia is predicated mainly on the fact that I have a crush on Shanoa (yes)
There is a significant body of work that looks at the power dynamics of various sexual dynamics. @gaius.bsky.social documentary on what the Romans considered heteronormative is very interesting. Basically it was more about power than orientation youtu.be/d9y-thVnwKg?...

It's out, today!
I got to work on animating sprites in this project and I feel very proud to have been able to work alongside such huge talent!
That one tune in Castlevania III... does it sound like a squeaky hinge, or maybe a plastic straw in a disposable cup?
this is wonderful but I feel like I should be the one pinging you on this lol
VR is easily the lowest engagement topic I talk about here, but even this is restraint compared to the amount of posts-specific-to-me I could will into existence
I'm just the one saying what others are too afraid to π
I have a theory that this functionality isn't native to the OS because Meta sells their own extended battery strap with, as far as I'm aware, a proprietary software battery indicator. 3rd party straps don't do that, so this is a nice alternative to a surprise dying headset because I checked too late
I spent $2 on a Quest app (Battery Level Notifier) to yell at me when the headset stops receiving external power, aka dead extended battery. Previously I was removing it to check manually, or checking software too late for a missing β‘ symbol
maybe I'm too particular but this is hugely convenient!
my grey cat, shadow, in front of the clothes I'm trying to fold while my hand pets her
how am I supposed to fold laundry with this pretty kitty in my way
just remember, giving yourself extra lives isn't cheating if it's in the options menu
this cures what ails me every time
