Hey man, my dad pulled me off the football team (I was dressing varsity as a freshman) for a 79 (borderline b) on a progress report. My head coach had to talk to that man. I missed spring practice. But it was for the good.
My parents, the both of them, were smooth operators in their younger days. Thing was, I wasn’t a problem child. I’d goof off in class ever so often, but that was me learning and getting attracted to the dopamine hit of being social as a teenager, which I barely was as a kid. And class BORED me.
