You’re missing a final adjective but I distinctly said this protest was valid and that the prosecution is wrong. I’m just saying it’s not selective first amendment protection, and that the guardrails actually matter here.

It’s important to note that this law (the FACE act) was essentially a treaty in the culture wars whereby clinic access couldn’t be blocked for healthcare and church access couldn’t be blocked or disrupted for protest after decades of church assaults ranging from Klan to Act

We can recognize this is a legal fact while also accepting this is a valid protest for other reasons. But the law has to remain firm on this, especially right now.

I absolutely support this protest. But the case law is pretty clear on this one: your exercise of the first amendment cannot interfere with the exercise of someone else’s. An evangelical group cannot storm a mosque to disrupt service because of their sincere beliefs.
