I've been running gdcparties.com for a few years now. Some shitty company BlueberryAI decided they'd just take all the source code for the work I've done and reskin it, advertising it as their own. Jokes on them...it was still linked to my events spreadsheet, and now their website looks like this π
No update this Friday, itβs taking WAY longer than I hoped to make the traversal animations to fill the βgapsβ

Only took 1.5 weeks but finally got my new traversal system working!
No longer does it occasionally clip through the objects π
Now to make some animations for better coverage π
That said I left Unity for Unreal a few months back after too much time fighting DOTS (how they can release it with so much missing functionality is beyond me)
The brown and turquoise is mesmerising!
I donβt have anything to use something like that in but Id like to think of something π«‘

Tip for OBS if you didnβt know it, you can setup keyboard shortcuts to start/stop recording so can do it while on the games window
Yea I was thinking more RDR2 though with filters, etc
Noise is noise, good when used in a shader using world cords as UV offset so everything has different noise from the same material π«‘
That said one thing I havenβt & want to is cinematic photo modes, think itβs a good way for players to show of their characters and in the process my game for me π€·ββοΈ

Unfortunately I canβt myself as several bits of software I use are windows only & quiet demanding so really donβt need an emulation layer adding extra demand π

Redoing my traversal system as hit a roadblock with windows, etc in the previous version π¬
Added min depth, height and width checks for both where the traverse starts and end, + other safety checks in this latest iteration π

Ended up just using a file explorer to move things to where UE thought they were π
