the baseball content on there is still better, but I'm really trying my best to wean off of it. also, no group chats on here is a bummer.

this would be so sick
this is some fuck around and find out stuff right here
it feels weird to say this about a 1st round pick, but you've been one of the most aggressive rankers of Soto. Love to see it.
just went through this in KC. nearly 3 week long winter break followed by a full "snow day" week...
So, if you want a novice voice actor with those built-in problems, you're welcome to hire them! I can't stop you.
If we're being honest, you're not my ideal client anyway.
What do you think AI VO is lacking? Other than sheer speed, does it do something BETTER than GOOD human voice actors?

...or give you consistent pronunciation of words from one take to the next or WITHIN THE SAME take...
Oh!
And they're only as good as the person running the finicky controls.
(No offense to the person with too much on their plate already trying to learn a new skill on the fly. ๐ซข)

AI voiceover is like a novice voice actor who has some natural voice acting chops BUT...
can't take direction...
or repeat what they did...
or understand why they did it...
or vary each take so they sound different in subtle but impactful ways from one take to the next...

it's important to me that Ian McKellen never dies, so if you could make that happen, i'd be pretty happy thx
I've found this is especially useful as we get further into adulthood
Yes, I know! Shouldn't have led with VO there. I just know you like to chime in with VO thoughts every once in a while still. Hope you're well and glad you're here!

He just joined us in this Bluesky world.
Going to therapy will make you a better voice actor.
Incredible story. I hope you tell it often at parties. Now, I just need to become president so I can shake off any writers trying to cramp my style. ๐
pain
wait, is this true?!
Wtf... Absolutely terrible. I'm sorry to hear this.
On a continually morbid note, I've wondered what my clients would do if the same thing happened to me. Would my wife inform my clients or something? Should I have a plan in place? It sounds ridiculous... but like... ?
pain... what a ridiculous ask.
thankfully, there are good, high-paying clients out there. just a matter of finding them!
Lots of possibilities here, but as I think about it, I love the sound of relief and excitement from the client at the end of a live, directed session. We got through it and they're happy. Which means I'm happy, too!
