no, you don't. they are two completely different games, for completely different markets and audiences. they have nothing in common.

kill the imposter syndrome in you head because not only is there someone out there doing it worse than you, they're also using chat gpt to do it
Anyways.
just know that if you were to get this, youβd be helping this woman get a good job c:
Legacy of Orsinium released today, a new Skyrim expansion made by Dutch indie game studio Veelpoot. Keano made this with some of his modding friends and you can BUY IT TODAY!
Having your fan fiction uploaded to the official Bethesda channels is a flex in some cultures, I think.
FAN FICTION MAKES THE BEST GAME WRITERS.
it's on miro. it's literally on figma. you have to log into okta. it's in jira. it's on zoom. it's on pureref. it's on flow. it's on perforce. it's on slack. you can find it on slack. you can go to slack and find it. log onto slack right now. you can slack it. slack has it for you. it's on slack.
Walking through KamurochΕ. Guy in a suit so white it makes me angry bumps into me so i throw a punch. Miss. He breaks a bicycle over my head. Individual leaves of lettuce and a single dog collar explode from my body as I collapse
Ghost of Yotei star: 'workers need more protections' in game development
you should commission gmad -- or better yet, give her a job!
i played it too, and i was honestly surprised by how well the gamecube game translated to VR. standing still and aiming? you do that both in the original and in vr and i think that works really well in terms of balance, etc.
havenβt played the rest of it though because iβm honestly not that into vr
i've been finally working on a new website. just fully leaning into an aesthetic with this one
I finished the lineart for this witch picture:
I hate to say this, but I lost my job yesterday and I need to come up with money for next month's rent. I have already seen an incredible amount of love and support during the past 12 hours. It has been helping me keep calm as my family and I navigate through this next chapter in my life.
Somewhat obscure AI (not the bad kind) question: anyone got a good reference on stuff like RTS AI? Like, if I wanted to make an AI opponent for Command and Conquer, that kinda thing.
I THINK that's the basis for how a Musou AI works. You're basically playing an RTS but just controlling a hero unit.
I kinda know how Chess AIs work (scoring out move permutations) but RTS? Is it the same thing? Hrm.
I think I can get this working eventually if I take the Chess move permutations route, and if you squint at a Musou map, you can kinda see the grid/board, so that approach might work too? Just.
Hrm.
we may not 100% agree on everything but his presence really has been a net good in my life and I mean it when I say heβs one of the better cis guys out there.
so thatβs all i wanna say about that
his space has been the main reason why i got comfortable using Unreal. joeβs also one of the reasons why i got way less reactionary online (believe it or not). the encouragement from all the folks in his space is what encouraged me to learn whatever i want and have fun with it.
i feel like i can answer that. iβve known joe for 8 years, and his space was incredibly valuable in getting my foot in the door in the gamedev industry. heβs helped a few folks get out of some incredibly awful family situations. he curated the space so well I felt really safe coming out there.
so one thing that's really been telling in terms of like just how much big tech apps have been trying to enshittify stuff even further: they take control of audio, causing my hearing aids to lower the volume of the environment even if the videos in the UI are muted. fuck you doordash and google maps
Our next game is Verminsteel!
You're a bird with a broadsword, kicking thousands of fascists so hard they fly into the sun
PLEASE go wishlist it, it'll make me really happy and help me stop low-key panicking and stuff: store.steampowered.com/app/4352280/... #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev
new Evangelion content means new Evangelion memes
good catch! I can at least do a little fade in engine to get rid of that pop
you know you did well when your wife told you that when she heard it, she immediately went βoh thatβs exactly what I thought this character would sound likeβ
I was wondering why these Caves of Qud dragonflies that are usually chill were all up in my ass and attacking me so suddenly. Turns out I was wearing the antennae of their fallen brethren on my head like a dickhead. I can see how that could come off as a little insensitive. That's my bad
rpg designers will be like "big things coming" and it's actually the biggest, most sprawling thing they've ever done. all-consuming. blotting out the sun and the sky
sometimes you see a thing and it's the most kobold shaped thing that ever lived
Please just ask, it's in every dev's interest that we work together and share knowledge.
The few times I've gotten to help out folk with art or broader new dev questions it's always a delight to deal with people excited to make something.
another reason to do voice training: you can voice your game's main character
A parody of a "I think we have to kill this guy, Steven", but with Venator from Deadlock telling Rem, saying "I think we gonna have to kill this guy, Rem". "Damn" - Says Rem, looking disappointed.
Finally got a quick break to hop back on my Deadlock bullshit π
