Picture of a snowy backyard with some pine trees. There's part of an indoor Christmas tree in the foreground, decorated with ornaments and ribbon.
Looks like it'll be a white Thanksgiving this year.
Pretty impressive Northern Lights last night. Best Iβve ever seen!
Just another example of how screwed up it is that employment, healthcare, and self-funded / employer-subsidized retirement are all intertwined in the US.
Also, I assume an unspent fraction of my HSA will become part of my retirement savings, which is certainly not true this year. So medical expenses are literally postponing my (distant) retirement.
This is one of those years when I'm grateful that I'm in a position to max out my pre-tax medical accounts (HSA/FSA).
Healthcare is so expensive in the US. And the experience and outcomes are both so terrible.
It's almost more fun to think about the possibilities than to know the answer. Iron Chef breakfast, here's your mystery ingredient.
Funny, just added a few of their songs to my main playlist the other day
Happy Halloween! In true Minnesota spirit, if itβs not snowing, itβs road-construction season.

My client these days is my web browser.
FWIW I'm getting more of it on LinkedIn than anywhere else. But there's less of a "public square" vibe, more about following individual people.
Hope you have an enlightened VP who explicitly pulls in the technical domain expert(a) to research, short-list options & recommend a solution that's the best technical fit. Not common at your typical enterprise, but as execs get more tech-savvy, it's slowly shifting.
Just got mine. Now it's your turn! www.scientificamerican.com/article/new-...
