Finished Ashes of the Imperium (The Scouring Book 1) last week and I just find myself wanting to know when Book 2 will be announced/released. π GW, please!

Iβm about halfway through the first Eisenhorn book, but Iβm having trouble getting into it for some reason. I think I just really like space marines lol.
The events of the heresy take place ~10,000 years before current day 40K, but it helps set the stage really well, IMO.
There are like 60 books in that series. The first 3 books follow the events linearly, then after that they tend to jump around because the conflict is so epic in scale. I did the first 5 books and then jumped to the Siege of Terra books in the series that wrap everything up.
I asked the same question to a colleague a few years ago who is a huge 40K fan. He recommended starting with the Horus Heresy books, and having done that I wholeheartedly agree.
Same here. Mainly lore and the artwork. I've gone through 30+ books so far, so if you ever need recommendations lemme know!
Who is looking for this?
45 here! Welcome to the party, pal. We talkin' lore? Minis? Both?
A grumpy black cat lies on a purple background, its tail spelling βTuffβ in pink script, with βTittyβ scratched below.
Tough titty said the kitty when the milk ran dry.
I've now consumed 32 #warhammer40k novels and counting. I don't play the TTRPG and have no real interest in it. I just love the worldbuilding and lore. Wish I had more folks to geek out on this stuff with.
This week, Iβm home with my dog as she heals from minor surgery, and itβs bringing back some of the frustration of those early pandemic days. Working remotely feels isolating, and the quiet only makes my racing thoughts louder.
One of my neighborhood friends had one of these in his house when we were growing up. His mom would play it. Their house was, in fact, haunted. You may have dodged a bullet.
Wrapped up the Night Lords trilogy this weekend andβ¦ wow π₯. Aaron Dembski-Bowden had me rooting for the bad guys, and Andrew Wincottβs narration? π¨π»βπ³ π.
Onward to the Era of Ruin anthology. #Warhammer40K

I get a lot of enjoyment out of reporting OW players in my games that shamelessly drop slurs and then laugh at me when I tell them they're getting reported. I always make sure to tell them that they never know who they're playing with in the game. I hope DONBEVERIDGE enjoys those consequences. βπ»
It definitely can add a little chaotic fun to the game!
I love this. Had many a laugh yesterday. Well done.
I love that someone took the time to make such an awesome animation just to shit on my feature π
NOTE: I have watched it many times and laughed every single time. Well done!

βGamersβ feels like it applies more broadly as a term. Not to mention it sounds silly. Iβm sticking with players.
That's silly. Everyone knows the buck stops with the people at the bottom.
Thank god for shareholders. Blessed be thy names.
We bust our asses to make and maintain great games, and the payoff for being successful isβ¦more layoffs? Make it make sense, Phil.
I love this line.
Another great spaceship thread by Mel!
With an unwavering adherence to routine and an unbreakable hyper-focus ability, it's easy-peasy.
I enjoy using Arc as a browser, but I think I've concluded that I don't like vertical tabs.
Stumbled onto an idea for a 3D piece that's going to take a lot of work to accomplish with what hardware and basic knowledge I have. Lots to learn first!
the Marathon alpha released recently and its environments are covered with assets lifted from poster designs i made in 2017.
