"Art is everywhere, and everywhere is art" but especially in this produce section
Just made the rookie error of googling where the doomsday clock is at currently just for lolz and -85/10, do not recommend.
As a Canadian living in the UK, I stopped booking flights home that went via US airports when Trump was first elected. I grew up less than 25km from the border, but haven't crossed it since 2015. Call me paranoid, but it always felt like this was the direction things were heading in...
This is so incredibly wholesome 🥹
Well this lefty thinks that new 4D-printed smart skin inspired by cephalopods is pretty neat and, to my knowledge, it's not destroying the planet *or* civilisation as we know it! (...yet) scitechdaily.com/a-new-smart-...
If (like me) you live too far away to check out @gettymuseum.bsky.social's Beginnings: The Story of Creation in the Middle Ages exhibition, the talk with artist Harmonia Rosales – whose paintings are hung alongside the medieval artwork – can be watched via Zoom! www.getty.edu/calendar/har...
Jumping from Rome to America is telling. This feels less 'fourth reich'-coded and more 'slavery was good, actually.' Jesus wept.

I don’t know who needs to hear Jesse Jackson leading the kids on Sesame Street in this beautiful call-and-response reminding them that every child is somebody, but here it is

Well you certainly captured her 'essence' 🤣 And it's such a good podcast! Equal parts impeccably researched and hilarious 🙌
I look forward to these every month! A treat 🥰
This story is very 'Moon Juice Taste Test' bonus ep-coded (compliment) for any Maintenance Phase pod fans out there 🙌
You may laugh, but the Macbeths are a much better role model for a marriage than Romeo and Juliet. They discuss their problems (killing the king of Scotland), share their hobbies (killing the king of Scotland), and resolve their conflicts (by killing the king of Scotland).
Excellent 🧵 on disability and sci-fi 👇
My 2 cents: I'd *like* to think by the 32nd c. we'd have put a modicum of all that cool tech knowledge toward making better assistive devices – screw wheels! have a hoverchair! – but given the current state of things, that wheelchair is depressingly realistic.
When you mad lib your story title
This idea goes back to Pliny the Elder's 1st c. 'Natural History,' a model for later encyclopaedias and scholarship (e.g. the citing of primary sources & using an index). So I think it's a bit more 'proto-scientific lore' than 'anthropomorphic children's story' 😅 bestiary.ca/beasts/beast...
Ooh congrats 🙌💜
Might still be worth it, you can watch replays of anything you've missed 😊 I just cancelled right away so that I am only paying for the 1 month as I didnt find anything else of interest on there.
I bit the bullet and paid £3.99 for the discovery+ app – not perfect, but much more coverage than on the BBC! They got the full licensing rights, I think.
Looking forward to cultivating an enviable skeet graveyard, just like the good ol' days
Just picturing them passing out reading prose poetry because there are no line breaks
Pleased to report that I still don't know who won the Super Bowl but I have consumed so much Bad Bunny content I think I speak Spanish now? Algorithms are healing 🙏
I feel like this is somehow the least salacious option, but my money's on Blair 🧐
