Woke beavers on the other site 🤣
This in public forum was quite astonishing. And shows just how poor the current Green / Lib Dem policy is.

Wes Streeting to note.
I heard yesterday that Aryan Front posters were put up in Southmead recently.
My grandfather fought against the Nazis in WW2. My partner’s uncle made the ultimate sacrifice in the retreat to Dunkirk. True patriots.
Neo-Nazis aren’t welcome here.

Amazing how often gender critical people are happy to get into spaces where trans people are. Like Forstater, who was happy to sit in front of me at a panel event at LP conference, trying to take 📷
Just like those who come to City Hall to stealthily 📷 me.
I’m not that photogenic, surely?
Creepy
Wonderful comedy show for #IWD in aid of One25, hosted by BS13’s finest Dani Johns and featuring an all female line-up.
Very enjoyable evening at St George’s.
Solidarity to Charlotte Nichols MP, speaking with extraordinary courage and strength.
The Women of Wessex X account shows that they are both islamaphobic & transphobic. Characteristics they share with far right activists like Tommy Robinson.
In this holy month of Ramadan I was more than happy to listen to the call to prayer for muslim colleagues. No time was lost from public forum.
A pinky/purple square showing the three candidates for the Labour Women United slate for the Labour Party's National Women's Committee: Nikki Belfield, Saranya Thambirajah and Cat MacLean. Their priorities are: Full inclusion of our trans sisters in our party. Working with party leadership to tackle the “boys’ club” culture. Improved approach to safeguarding, particularly for young members. A standalone, democratic, annual Women’s Conference.
Our slate of candidates for the #LabourParty's National Women's Committee - for an inclusive party.

⚡️ 150 new Electric Vehicle chargers are being rolled out across Bristol
🙌🏻 These new chargers are funded by Helen Godwin, Labour Mayor of the West of England, and City Leap - the landmark decarbonisation project agreed by the former Labour administration

Lively Downs Committee today.
A reminder, I did not vote for the charging of fees on the Downs. All other councillors did, alongside the MV’s.
Great to speak to @bristol247.bsky.social about women’s safety in parks and green spaces for this article. www.bristol247.com/news-and-fea...
Shows 4 women standing. There is a building behind them with windows, a wall on the left hand side and a mobility scooter parked on the right.
A graphic that says ‘Happy International Women’s Day’
On International Women’s Day it was a pleasure to catch up with some wonderful Labour colleagues at City Hall yesterday.
Labour changed Britain for women, delivering the Equal Pay Act, Sex Discrimination Act, maternity rights and flexible working.
We’re continuing to build a more equal future.
On the Unite stall for the International Women’s Day event at City Hall in Bristol.
Highlighting our campaigns in things like dignity at work, stopping DV, employment conditions and getting home safely.
Lots of women stopping by.
We should not be allowing B1, B2 or B52 planes to use the runway in Fairford as a staging point for the illegal Trump war.
There is nothing defensive about these types of aircraft.

Some good conversations in Southmead this afternoon.
Picked up some issues. And came across this community book 📚receptacle - what a marvellous idea.
My Bristol will always be a welcoming city, a place where minorities feel at home, a place of hope, not hate.
Those who seek to divide us are not the true face of Bristol.
Bristol is, and always will be, a City of Sanctuary.
I welcome this statement.

Well I’m not jumping for joy.
Perhaps he should keep shifting rightwards to Reform UK? And take Jonathan Hinder MP with him.
🌹 Labour is working hard to support Bristol families with the cost of living. Interest rates and mortgages are coming down, the minimum wage is going up and rail fares and prescriptions are frozen.
"There is an alternative way forward: being True – not Blue – Labour. True Labour doesn’t fear those who are different. Instead, it demands everyone contribute their abilities to society – and works to unlock such skills."

Helping families in Southmead with the cost of living.
Real action, real benefits.
Me closing the Plimsoll bridge in Bristol today. Sorry for any delays.

My dog could have won the 2024 general election- and he’s not even a political strategist.
Bristol Green Party claim we don’t participate. They ignore our proposals that are democratically agreed (too hard) but take as their own proposals they voted against.
Cllr Dudd:-
“Is it even worth us turning up if we carry resolutions, and it’s not followed?”

Fantastic that Bristol will be a host city for the women’s T20.
Will inspire so many more women & girls to take up the sport.
Bristol Labour are passionate to make sure that we invest in sport, including infrastructure. Hence our motion to council next week.

Our region deserves a transport system we can all trust and be proud of.
Seeing what other regions have achieved shows what is possible in the West too, and I am determined to get the work done to deliver transport here that is reliable, safe and affordable.
