I’ve been able to travel the world. The only two things the USA got absolutely fucking right are:
1. We have the best indoor AC in the world.
2. Airport check in counters. It’s not complicated. Most of the world can’t figure them out. We have good airport check in counters.

The Cure “Alone” (live). We had to wait two years to hear the recorded version after they debuted it live. How do The Cure songs keep getting sadder? I suppose because Robert, always so sensitive to aging, is truly now….old and finally “looking back at it all”
Future Islands’ first time on Letterman. Samuel’s performance…singing then growling then thumping his chest yet you still just want to hug him. Made even more perfect by Letterman’s closing line “I’ll take all of that you got!”
