Probably not for unfollowing people? But try drafting a post and then shaking.
Don’t shake that fist too hard… you might trigger a shake to undo…
@gruber.foo Fun fact: Walmart in Canada supports Apple Pay. Probably due to the popularity of “tap to pay” in the country well before Apple Pay existed.
Screenshot showing that this is my 2,900th post on my blog
This feels like an appropriately round number for the announcement that my blog has now officially moved from WordPress to Ghost

are we still on about em dashes and ai. imo human writers should just use the em dashes even harder. we should be out here pummeling out those em dashes like we're emily dickinson

Gaël from @greenio-podcast.bsky.social and I go deep on all things emissions & corporate responsibility. With a flavour of digital sovereignty.
@questauthority.bsky.social 👋 Had a question for you, which I sent via DM. I’d appreciate any guidance you can offer.
I was listening too! Cleaning up my transcript tomorrow!
@andrew-wiebe.bsky.social I’d love to hear about the “back pass” no-call in the ~62nd minute of SKC / VAN match tonight. Feels like the right no-call, but what do the rules say?
@questauthority.bsky.social Thank you for the kind words about delta.blog on your stream last night! Let me know if you spot anything wrong or weird.
This is scary but I'm taking The Film Maven off Substack and have transferred to Ghost. Not only does this give me complete ownership of my work, but also means I won't continue to lose money to Substack and Apple. I lay everything out for Subscribers here.

… and we never heard from Peter again.
I installed the Fair Package Manager (@fairpm) on my personal site last night. I'm excited to say it worked flawlessly. A couple of plugins were updated from Fastly's servers, & a paid plugin updated from its servers as normal. I'm excited to see what else comes from this interesting development.
Thoughts on #WordPress Plugins, #FAIRPM, and risk.

Only a matter of time before macOS looks more like iPadOS.
@gruber.foo I suspect the CIRP survey is looking only at the US market (not even or Americas), which has a higher concentration of iPads than global markets. 78% of the US iPhone users having iPads makes more sense. Globally iPads are less popular, meaning lower overall revenue.
We're delighted to launch the FAIR Package Manager with the Linux Foundation - read our announcement and come collaborate with us! #FAIRPM

Today, we’re launching something big for the WordPress community. Say hello to FAIR - a new decentralised package manager for WordPress.
Renaissance (2022) or Cowboy Carter (2024), both released >15 years after Dangerously in Love (2003).
Former Substack creators say they're earning more on new platforms. "Paying someone $100,000 a year to host your blog. Come on buddy. I said I hate being a businessman, but even I know that's fucking stupid." via @monteiro.bsky.social digiday.com/media/former...
Fwiw, audio messages already disappear by default—the receiver can choose to "keep" them. I think it's a misnomer to say iMessage doesn't support disappearing messages—it doesn't support disappearing text messages, but does support disappearing audio messages.
I’d be happy to help you move somewhere else (and where the platform takes less of a cut).
As an aside, I’m a more-recent follower/listener and I’ve been curious: why Substack in particular? They’ve always been a bit fraught, from what I’ve read (e.g. www.anildash.com//2024/11/19/...).
I still sometimes use yahoo.com to test wifi hotspots.
But really, practically a given Sounders will make it to the playoffs. Their defence should hold up during the playoffs too. A combo of Morris+Ferreira+de la Vega feels like it can breakthrough, on paper… we’ll have to see what that’s like in practice though.
How much money did Miami cost you?
Definitely. Feels like a big “if” though. De la Vega hasn’t broken through yet. If that happens in 2025, Sounders could be unstoppable. But it may be more like 2027…
Plus, it took the Sounders a couple of months to get going in 2024. With the LAFC+Galaxy, they can’t afford to wait that long.
