Anyone want to hire a software engineer with over 30 years of experience and also has experience with PCB design, CAD, and product development?

Any tool is only as good as the user. I can use a wrench to drive a nail into wood, but it would be silly to do so. Seniors are still going to be mentoring juniors in good practices, but the process will just look different.

They're not wrong, AI coding agents are getting really good, but they still require a seasoned engineer to guide them. There is a lot of repetitive gluing shit together in the software world that AI handles really well.

A lot of viral moments were captured on places like Twitter and now that many viewers have left Twitter it is much more difficult to have those viral moments. Especially with the algorithm change that pushes outrage content over other content.

cool rpgmaker tip want to add changeable speech bubble tails to your dialogue balloons? [two ugly drawings of cautionne with speech bubbles] (like this but not drawn with a trackpad in 5 seconds) read the next pictures for info. this method uses Hakuen Studio's PictureManager plugin, but should also be doable with RPGMaker's Script calls (linked in comments/description)

start by creating a common event. in the common event, add a conditional branch with a variable, MessageTail. in each instance of the conditional branch, give a second variable (TailTypeFileName) the filename for your tail images. These tail images should be located in images/pictures in your RPGMaker project file.

create another conditional branch with the MessageTail variable, and place it below the first branch. add coordinates to the tail message image. note how the filename is the escape code for the TailTypeFileName variable.

now, create an event, define yoru MessageTail variable, and then call your common event each time you change the MessageTail variable. your final result should look something like this. It is, but this system fails to upgrade. It is not the first Ubuntu system to do this to me either.

This is one of my frustrations with Linux and a lot of distributions. There are so many hidden gotcha moments with each one that making the correct choice first is so important. I have an Ubuntu system stuck in 2022 for software.
