I just now realized I had a typo in my own document β¦ which I guess gives me a reason to see how easy it is to update the file and also see if the existing βpurchaserβ (me) gets an email that itβs updated?
Novelty. I think I had some in high school and I don't think I used them except maybe when it was just not expected. But it was the 90's. Finding odd things was just a little harder.
Deck of cards was more useful to carry around.
βHandleβ probably is a better match to documentation than βusernameβ but for some reason I keep thinking username and Iβm not sure why.
Also Iβm not the definitive resource on anything but I do think the sign-up process does impact perception.
*sign-up interface
** also technically you can use the Blacksky sign-in interface to do the same thing
There are I think only 3 (not self-hosted) that avoid both bluesky/blacksky for the sign-up of a new account? (I donβt know Northskyβs process yet.)
Right now there are still only a few PDSs where you donβt have to touch Blueskyβs sign- interface to get started still.
I held off on posting some βhow toβ info a few weeks ago for a couple of reasons. Aspects being βearly daysβ is part of it.
Atproto username eventually?
Bluesky/Atproto username at current?
βBlueskyβ being just because thatβs what have been cemented in peopleβs minds over the last few years and because thatβs still the typical starting point.
The username part I do think itβs going to end up evolving over time.
Bluesky username makes sense now.
AtProto username may make more sense in a year.
Username
Server/Service ?
When I created the spreadsheet for PDSs and creating a ton of testing accounts this is how I thought about it at least. π€·ββοΈ
Server/service url may be a different than the sign up url. Not needed everywhere but Iβm sure weβre going to see some confusion.
Jerry is the universal alt?
Jerry is the shared alt account? Oh that would be an interesting one. π€
www.awstats.org
I know it's a few days later but this is what I've been running server side since (checks notes) 2006 & possibly earlier. It's clearly not as user friendly / shareable as Plausible is though.
I'm just now realizing there's an "import" option in Plausible...
βAirport bookββ immediately translates as probably not actually that great somehow. Just good enough with the occasional exception to that rule. π
Oh no! Also seems kinda funny somehow that they stole a box cutter. π
βGoodβ varied by so many factors. Target audience might be the better question (or goals if the purpose isnβt book sales by quantity.)
Imogene Heap (though I feel like since you know more music than I do, Iβm not mentioning anyone new.)
Watching a tv show called Riot Women and the remakes of the 90βs songs in it, I think I need to look up who does vocals and see if there are any full song by them.
I'm again apparently playing with things to learn about them. You can pay $0 for the PDF template here: ko-fi.com/s/ef766b1660
I find it interesting that I can upload the file to one platform but not to another I have that has a "shop."
Ok so I donβt really want to draw a bunch of calendars & for some reason I want to do some habit tracking on paper so Adobe Illustrator it was.
I probably should have bought some blank paper instead of grid because lining it up perfectly will likely never happen.
Anyone want an A5 calendar PDF?
Ok I know this is a tangent but are you using Zotero when for book notes or something else.
Iβm finding that this is a missing piece to some of my book reading right now (which consist of ebooks and physical books.) I donβt know where I want to save notes. Privately. So itβs chaos.
Why do I want the yellow one when I don't even want one? Maybe I need to look for iphone cases in that shade...

I was really missing the tactile feel of a couple of types of pens and quality paper.
I feel like itβs been 300 years since I drew in such a tiny font. The calendar is just me doing a first pass on just writing and lines.
I think thatβs were I got confused - poem that exists. π
Yes but still Douglas Addams as author. There is overlap in words though?
Did we just switch authors?
What about the long dark teatime of the soul?
Life, the universe and everything
I suspect this is pretty accurate. Plus playing the long game and probably having some contracts that give them certain guarantees would be the other things I suspect play a part.
I'm pretty sure that most of what I own is flat. I'm over here trying to think if there's really anything in my house I could photograph. I don't even think I have any balls of yarn. π€
Or maybe I'm remembering a chutney except it had a sort of pectin quality to what I'm remembering...π€
Tomato jam or preserves IS a real thing but different consistency than ketchup. I feel like I have a memory of a spicy version with chili flakes in it for some reason?
Screen shot of partial design pages. Red and green text. Welcome to the Sixth Crisis. Most of it is deliberately vague. Near black background. All partial as they are cropped.
56 slides for 3 different presentations (2 PechaKucha) designed mostly this afternoon/evening. Heavy focus on typography (though a tiny bit sloppy if other designers wanted to nitpick.)
I was fighting MS Powerpoint (required by the event) & I somehow ended up in Canva but debated going InDesign.
