digital sharpening probably has its uses but i have never noticed any proper examples where the images don't look oversharpened to hell. it's the reason why i no longer rely on phone cameras as much, even after getting a phone specifically for its cameras and lack of post processing

2nd pic might actually not be a good example for sharpness lol but you get the idea. it just brings out more of the detail where it's focused

also not to say there aren't sharp zoom lenses out there they're just mad expensive

you're probably thinking of digital sharpening you do after taking the photo (and most phone cameras do while taking the photo). real sharpness comes straight from the lens, prime lenses usually being the sharpest. here's examples i took, first two with a prime lens and last two with a zoom lens

why not just go for something with interchangable lenses? one of my friends has an X-T30 and he loves it and i love the pics he's taking with it. or go with a nikon like the Z50 and you'll be open to countless lenses for cheap especially if you also get a FTZ adapter
