I totally get the thinking behind replacing slow escape with break hold, and it's honestly not even a bad idea (like most of the break system tbh) but it really isn't a "soft" defensive option the way slow escape was. kinda hope nu-DOA has a slow escape that doesn't require mashing lmao
I think if you wanna netplay 5 then RPCS3 is the way to do it. at least it has lobbies lmfao

i get the logic behind getting rid of slow escape in doa6 - mechanics that require you to mash are a real accessibility concern - but i think the removal of that less committal defensive option from the stun game has a real impact, and i think i prefer doa when that option is there

yeah Tina is considered among the top 5 characters in DOA6 mainly because the removal of slow escape (shaking out of stun animations) means your only way of dealing with stun is to hold, and uh. why are you trying to hold against the grappler?

Pretty much the entire reason why the Dear Maria, Count Me In one exists is because I got tired of people just throwing the song over an existing OP and saying "omg why does this work???" because like. no it doesn't! the timing is all wrong! lemme show you how we can make it work!
The reason I'm proud of what are otherwise shitpost video edits is that I'm not just slapping a song over an OP, I am both cutting up and reordering existing OPs *and* I'm manually editing songs to fit the anime OP standard of 1 and a half minutes (or close)
