β¦and how long has it been there?!
β¦and how long has it been there?!
Sure itβs impressive that astronomers can look at a planet a million light years away and ascertaining what the atmosphere isβ¦
But have they ever tried looking at my dog in the dark distance and working out if theyβre doing a poo or eating something they shouldnβt be?
If you smell toast, you might be having a stroke... a stroke of luck that is. Itβs toast time.
Being a wedding officiant is so exhausting like i constantly have to remind the couple that this is MY day
The overton window but applied to how much your dog smells.
Oh my god lol
This Dutch late night host absolutely eviscerates Trump and Disney- you gotta watch how
I realize that "Orwellian" is over used but come on.
We all assume that curtained off βsituation roomβ is like smack bang in the middle of a dining room full of golfers enjoying a meal right?
Iβve drawn a newspaper, and itβs called βThe Daily Newsβ and the headline says β For Fuckβs Sake, What Now?!β and thereβs an article below it with a picture of a guy in a big red tie and shit hair. Actually a pretty good drawing of a newspaper to be honest, really happy with it. Its got an imperceptible beige to it and I even did some nice shadows and everything. Nailed it.
The best music ever made was the music that came out when you were between the ages of 13 and 17.
Anyway, the A1 poster (was always an A1 landscape poster wasnβt it?) complete with Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, Christ the Redeemer and a list of all-inclusive package deals looked bloody amazing!
And yes, obviously couldnβt send in the folks lest the entire small town start gossiping about the family heading to Rio for some reason.
One of my favourite pre-internet things was being a kid tasked with a Yr 5 school project on South America. Hard to find quality colour photos for that kinda thing, so my uncle went to the travel agent, feigned planning a trip and left with a bunch of travel brochures we then harvested for photos.

A cost-of-living crisis isn't the easiest time to sell art, but: www.ciaraioch.com is where you can support my work, with each archival-quality print on textured heavy paper being produced here in Ireland, shipping internationally in eco-friendly packaging, with free mini-treats in every order π
Oh yeah thatβs a severe curl! π
Oooh! How curly? Because an exceedingly curly friend of mine always had the best shampoo recommendations!
Will never tire of this account making Big Ben come across as a super needy clock that isnβt getting enough attention.
I can't get over this number: in 2007, there were 360,000 newspaper jobs. Now, there are 80,000. "My local paper sucked!" Sure. What sucks even more? The void. "I get all my news from the Guardian!" No, the Guardian doesn't report on your town council, your school board, local cops.
If any local newspaper editors are reading this, I will happily provide comics/cartoons for free for your local publication!

You know youβre a local in an old UK pub when you realise you subconsciously duck to miss the rafters.
You know youβre a 41 yr old Bluesky guy when youβre like..
βOk, soβ¦.β
And your non-Bluesky partner interrupts with
βOkay, what did you post?β
The inverse of this feeling is sitting on a weirdly low one, with your knees way too high. That is NOT a vibe.
I know thereβs a lot going on right now, butβ¦. You know that moment when you sit on a loo thatβs slightly higher than you were expecting or are used to? Thatβs a fun vibe.
several books stacked so their titles are visible: A Day at the Beach The Bathers Shark 1 Shark 2 Shark 3 Sudden Violence Silence
Does anyone else remember Nina Katchadourian's found poetry project where she photographed books to make poems.
Remember when 70% of social media was just posting photos of stuff you were about to eat? I poo pooβd it at the time but god damn I miss that now.
Anyway, post some food folks.
And the worst thing is, by the time you DO get paid - then you immediately have to pay most of it back to those friends and you donβt even get to bask in the joy of being momentarily cashed up. π
If you can get them on a video call, itβs a lot harder to ignore that conversation. If thatβs not possible - get a friend to act as an agent and send them a vaguely threatening email dripping in legalese?!
Yeah fair play.
Best advice to young people is work out why that old person is giving you that weirdly specific advice.
Oooof! Yep, same vibe!
