I keep saying, it's dangerous to joke about things in Resonite, because 5 minutes later someone will be working on it.

Makes sense, I'm not too familiar with zoology of the Opossum!
Slight nitpick, would the big toe be at the top of the foot when you sit cross legged? :D
Creating shareable props using @basisvr.org feels like the early exploratory days of VR for me again. Thereβs also been crazy fast development taking place on github.com/cnlohr/cilbox by @cnlohr.bsky.social and the community for providing safe networked scripts within them. Go check it out!
It increases with Windows versions in the article. Windows 10 increased it, so you should be good with the default allocation size to 16TB. Funnily enough Windows 11 bumped up FAT32 to 2TB.
Some people are just more comfortable collaborating through a Unity Editor, and that's OK.
v1.117 is live!
We rolled out support for Bandcamp embeds. Now you can play songs right inside posts!
We're big fans of Bandcamp and everything they do to support artists.
Upgrade to the newest app version and give it a try π

When heavy users of Discord stop to consider just how much they will be impacted, if the service was to suddenly go down or you lose your access tomorrow, then it fast gets extremely concerning.
AI won
As of right now there's less than 147x Visionary lifetime access keys left out of the 1000, so plenty of people are putting their money where their mouth is it seems
It made me never want to host another party agai. Since moderating one of the first party communities to enforce no very poor avatars during the 4th July 2020 collab through to only a couple of years ago. I'm fully spent. Too much abuse.
Lack of guardrails that allows assets that have a big impact to frame time in a scene that has many objects. The platform needs to bear the burden of responsibility here. Expecting a wide plethora of users to do the right thing is optimistic.
fluxer.app I settled on Fluxer after taking a look at the others. Itβs the closest realistically to displacing dependency on Discord for a lot of communities. The lead dev seems to be taking this responsibility seriously.
I found blog.fluxer.app/roadmap-2026/ and was pleased to see that federation and web publishing are on the roadmap already.
Looks good just a shame I still need to create a username though, identity federation would be something.
With @roomy.space every chat space could be on a different server, but doesn't has to be. It works a lot like an ATProto PDS!
Each space has a DID, and can be migrated to other hosting just like an ATProto account.
And you'll be able to seamlessly join different spaces on different servers.
Join a server or add friends next :P
I'm also taking a deep dive looksie at @roomy.space I love the idea of each space being your own self-hosted server.
Crazy how JBL has cornered the market on battery-powered party speaker arrays now

So I heard we're heading back to IRC?
Check out these awesome portals! @crimsontaylor.theneolanders.com is a very close friend of mine and he does incredible work. We love pals with superpowers!

Itβs heartening to see an increase in NA bars over the last couple of years. It can be extremely helpful when third spaces donβt need to be swimming in booze! www.npr.org/sections/sho...
Discovering interesting and fun third spaces in your local area would be a great idea!
A wavy 3D mesh with vertex normals and vertex colors imported into Resonite in front of my VR avatar.
This mesh was generated in #Python and imported into #Resonite using my #ResoniteLink wrapper, without any file handling. This is a pretty big step towards the #Blender SDK I plan on building on top of this!
If you're curious, here's the example code that generated it: github.com/JackTheFoxOt...
Our Kickstarter closed at 3.4M with 4,617 backers! π
This roughly amounts to over 30,000 individual trackers!
Thank you so much for all the support.π
We canβt wait to deliver them to everyone!
Missed it? You can still pledge as a late backer π fluxpose.com/kick
Theyβre confusing performance profiling for a target system to run your builds on with the machine that you develop and compile with.
This week, we tested out vehicles!
We held a team scavenger hunt, which was a lot of fun.
thankyou ->
@aaronfranke.dev, for the vehicle's logic
@cnlohr.bsky.social for cilbox
@maebbie.bsky.social for putting together the video below
Basis is a framework, MIT-licensed, built on top of Unity
Unfortunately Vulkan isn't performing too well in Unity 6.3 with consideraby higher frame times being seen. If anyone has any spare votes in their Unity free or paid license then please consider throwing one this way issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/high-...
Had that feeling visiting various queer spaces in Minneapolis Uptown over the weekend myself
Standing on principle I will never go back to that shit hole.
