The moon going from full moon to a red moon and starting to go back to a normal full moon, then my camera battery door fell off.

Here's my first edit on the March 3rd Lunar Eclipse. 15 moon shots, 1 foreground. Taken over a 3 hourish period.

Twin Peaks Finale: A Theory of Cooper, Laura, Diane, and Judy - Waggish An explanation of Episode 18 of Twin Peaks: The Return. Cooper and Gordon's plot to save Laura and deal with Judy, and the costs of that plot.

Thinking about Twin Peaks reminded me about this very compelling theory about the finale: blog post by David Auerbach. [Spoilers, obvs, plus no-one's looking to "explain away" anything. It's a fascinating and well written 'maybe...', very enjoyable.]

Going to Xiu Xiu Eraserhead later. I watched the film again last night and to see all this again after everything that followed especially Twin Peaks: A Limited Event Series, well there's something inexplicably magical about the coherence & abiding notes of Lynch's language & vibes, exceptional πŸ–€

There's always a Don't Invent The Torment Nexus.

In the early 60s JG Ballard wrote a story called Studio 5, The Stars, in which creatives put prompts into the "Verse Transcriber" to get a tickertape of poetry or other writings. They live in a very comfortable dystopia: privileged but bored.

"The Creation of Land" by Paul Nash is a striking woodcut print that uses dynamic, abstract forms to depict monumental, undulating landscapes. Created in the early 20th century, Nash's work is inspired by his unique vision of nature and often reflects the dramatic transformation of the land.

Experiments in ferrous oak gall ink making. The standard ink used in Europe for 1,400 odd years because of its permanence and water resistance. Quite addictive and I will be making more. Boiling oak gall smells faintly of caramel, and the final ink smells similar to blood (high iron content).
