To be clear, the issue isn’t that administration officials have political views. The issue is the lack of transparency, by a White House that claims to be the most transparent administration in history.

And it’s why folks need to ask much harder questions about Johnny MAGA and Garrett Wade.

If an account that looks grassroots is actually being run by someone inside the White House communications orbit, the public is no longer just watching organic supporter energy. They may be watching something much closer to coordinated political messaging.

Reporting by Wired indicates the account is run by a White House rapid response staffer, Garrett Wade, whose actual job is to defend and amplify the Trump administration’s message.
