Yea. That's fair. I use Reaper on both Mac and Windows. So it would make more sense to use VST3 for both.

Question to those that use MacOS for music production -- Is there any reason to prefer AU over VST3 if the plug-in has both formats ?

Thanks doc, but I think I'll pass.
Great atmospherics.
Oof. That was 50 years ago. Let's see what I can remember :)
*NEW THEME*
Get out your guitars for some pop punk or, on the contrary, to serenade the one you secretly love in the classroom next door.
In any case, the theme is high school, so let's go!
It's tough, Jim. Be sure to take care of yourself.
Trend setter.

Hey babe, I got true sustain.
Everybody knows it's VST plugins, not cars, that make the ladies swoon.
I've been setting up my MacBook Pro to do sound stuff.
I had forgotten exactly how much I had customized Reaper DAW. I hadn't tried looking at a fresh install in a while π¬

Most of my tracks are best described as happy little accidents.
Better late than neverβ¦ (maybe?!?) Hereβs some Dorian-mode-megadrive-funk for this weekβs @musicweeklies.bsky.social challenge. Didnβt turn out anything like I thought/hoped but itβs all part of the process. #modal #megadrive #deflemask
The new theme is Science.
Make some scientific music, no matter what scientific music sounds like in your head!
Whether it's sound textures of bubbles or a mathematical sequence for your song structure, have fun with it!
Oh, good. New music to code with tomorrow.

It must be a great track. I've already gotten two spam comments on Soundcloud that "the vibe is deep" and it is "fire".
Yay! Completed one on time :)
#modalscales for @musicweeklies.bsky.social .
Starts out in Myxolydian b2 (mode of the harmonic major), shifts to Lydian, then to simple major with a borrowed min 5 chord.
I suck at transitions.

I dreamt last night that there were a ton of pugs surrounding me. The pugs had these balloon like things shaped like blood cells attached to them. Somehow, I knew that they were big germs. While they were not bothering the dogs, I spent the entire dream brushing the dogs to remove the germs.

We get a ton of them at our feeders. Such cute little guys.
Yep. I hope you can get it them to do it.
Me being on Anthropic's side of an argument was not on my 2026 bingo card.
Yes, I know what common name means. I dispute that they are useful. And having a unified catalog would be useful.
A different idea would be to create a 10 Parsec Catalog (abbrev TPC) where the catalog number was its distance in parsecs multiplied by 10.
So a star 6.1 parsecs away would be TPC 61.
In my layman's opinion, if I can't see it with the naked eye in Bartle 3 or 4 skies, then no, it should not have a "common" name (which is a misnomer in most cases anyway).
Assuming this is an honest question ...
Each translation is a different work and would have their own copyright. Some are now in the public domain (e.g. KJV, Tynsdale) but many are not (The Message, NIV, NRSV).
This gets frequent turns on my personal play list.
