A 3D model of the drop and first element of Batman: The Ride made in Blender 4.5.2
Tools are almost all finished! Now I'm rebuilding Batman: The Ride for the 3rd time, but having a much better time this go round! #Blender
I fixed my support tool and VERY happy with the results! It's also free to download if you want to try it out for yourself. rollygon.com/tools/bm-sup...
The first four (4) supports placed in a trough for the new coaster model I'm making.
Construction has started!! I've spent all year making the tools for this model, now it's time to actually get started building it in #Blender
It's very manual at the moment, but it's coming together nicely!
Any ideas on how to get the z-axis to scale on only one end point of the track/curve? Using #Blender 4.2 Geometry Nodes (with array and curve deform modifier nodes).
I wish I could tell you what I'm looking at tbh. Geometry Nodes gone wild!
Uhhhhh whoops π
It's been going well so far. I thought I'd be a bit rusty

I think it's time to get back into #Blender and start building trains again!
Finishing out the day with a ride on the second level of the carousel!

PHYSICS TEST! I finally figured out how to make the physics in Blender actually work for this. The sphere is a bit hard to see, but once I get to the train building stage, it's a WRAP!!
Still, an unfinished 3D model of Fahrenheit at Hershey Park.
*Through gritted teeth* I... can... finish this one. Almost... there! The sooner I can finish this, the sooner I can mess around with adding a train in the future π

Today's work on Fahrenheit. I forgot how weird these supports are so this took longer than expected, but progress was made!

A half finished 3D model of Fahrenheit at Hershey Park.
Having a blast reviving this project! And excited again to actually finish now that I can build the geometry nodes I need in #Blender way easier now. Just a little bit more to go!
An almost finished 3D model of a Vekoma boomerang roller coaster
Looking to finish this one! Not much more to do, so not sure why this one fell off.
I always think I'm being too ambitious by starting up so many different projects at the same time. But then I remember being ambitious is what made me start to create in the first place!
Be ambitious. Have unfinished projects. It all still counts.
All done with Goliath at Six Flags over Georgia :) @nolimitscoaster.bsky.social www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRAR...
β οΈ just a reminder for those feeling like they're falling behind:
β you can become an artist without in- / formal education
β you can be self-taught if you put effort into it
β you do not *need* a mentor / teacher to do art
while the things above can help you reach your goals, you can do it solo π
Iβm going to become a web icon animator by the time I finish building this site lol!
Iβve been having a bit too much fun with making this menu icon! It also 100% CSS.
Iβve been debugging for hours, but it turned out I just forgot a letter on a variable in a config file. Iβmβ Iβ Cheers to being back in web dev lol π΅βπ«
Taking long web development hiatuses sure does make it difficult when jumping back in. But I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, Iβ π₯π»π₯
Designing stuff sucks. Too bad a part of me enjoys it enough to constantly be doing it lol
Ride sign
I thought of a new ride conceptβ¦but instead of building it, I made this instead! Iβm sure Iβll keep iterating it as I build.
"you can do this by using blender geometry nodes"
*looks up a geometry node guide*
"here is a 2 hour guide on making the cube move a bit to the right"
Most of my progress in 3D modeling is refactoring my geometry nodes to generate something dynamically. But the results look 100% identical as before, so sharing progress pic of the βsame thingβ each time feels veryβ¦ not right haha
Setting up some utility geometry nodes in #Blender that just keep going and going and going andβ
Bug fixed! Only needed to add β+1β to a single node, but ended up fixing a ton of things along the way. Now the track is more dynamic.
