Azahar 2125 Alpha 4 has been published, which marks the first official release of the Azahar libretro core!
This allows using Azahar on any libretro compatible frontend.

The disk shader cache helps removing stutter on applications after the first playthrough. The feature should also bring performance improvements which are noticeable even before the cache is generated.
Azahar 2125.0 Alpha 1 has been released. This test version includes some neat features, such as a Vulkan disk shader cache!
We highly encourage everyone to give it a try, but keep in mind that it may still be unstable.
Note that the .cci extension is still supported, as it always has been since the Citra days.

Azahar 2124 Release Candidate 1 is now available!
One of the new highlights is the ability to insert CCI cartridges that can be booted from the Home Menu.
As a side note, the next big Azahar release (2124), packed with pretty neat features developed during the last few moths, is almost ready with release candidates coming out soon!
Furthermore, the Android and Linux Appimage builds have been split into two variants each. (For Android, the vanilla build is recommended, and for Linux, the non wayland one).
This change does not affect users who installed Azahar through the Play Store.

This update fixes a critical issue related to .cia installation. All users, regardless of the version they are using, are advised to update as soon as possible.
You can get this version from our webpage or github page, or the play store on Android.
Some important things:
1) The vulkan shader cache will be invalidated, so stuttering will reappear on already played games until the cache is re-generated.
2) As usual, savestates from previous versions will cease working (read our blog "understanding savestates" for more info).

Stuttering should only be noticeable when using the OpenGL renderer. Please keep in mind that shader cache invalidation is required in order for us to implement the improvements we have made in this version.
Important detail about Azahar 2122.
We have made multiple changes to the graphics backend, resulting in the shader cache from older versions of the emulator becoming invalid.
After updating, you will notice some stuttering ingame until the shader cache is regenerated!
