The Labour party will forever be remembered by the LGBTQ+ community for their attempted genocide.

Are Labour MPs starting to realise just how badly theyβve messed things up for LGBTQ people?
nebula.tv/videos/philo...
What do they stand to lose?
If they lose a case, then it costs them nothing, and they then adopt an exclusionary policy. Which is the same position they are in now, but with the addition of the LGBTQ+ community and allies, knowing that they tried be inclusive but were forced by the courts.

Thank you to @zackpolanski.bsky.social for your clear support for the trans community. In a political climate where too many are stepping back, visible allyship from political leaders matters.

Last May, I wrote about how UK courts can not be trusted when it comes to trans folk just trying to live their lives. With the humiliating example of how April Ashley was treated in Corbett v Corbett.

We have filed supplemental evidence to GANHRI on the EHRC. Raising concerns about health impacts, lack of EIAs, no trans stakeholder engagement and opaque AI use in the 50k+ consultation. A rights regulator should not be a risk to the people it exists to protect.

If you are concerned about your data being used in the new data linkage study.
You can set the National Data Opt-Out. The EIA for The Gender Recognition (Disclosure of Information) (England) Order 2026 confirms both national + study-specific opt-outs will apply.

TBF, the character 2-D is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns. And the character dancing in the GIF is Noodle. She describes her sexuality as unlabeled, and that she 'likes everyone'.
If y'all ain't dancing like this every time you hear Gorillaz The Manifesto, you should be.
Slowly watching the left still on Twitter cook their brains on nazi slop until they start repeating antisemitic nazi terms.
Already listened to the album multiple times today, so will be giving this a watch.
Ah the 'men' that have been proven to be cisgender women. But as we know transphobes ignore all proof to support the hatred for any women who do not conform to a misogynistic beauty standard.
@thecanaryuk.bsky.social Journalists need an award. The "proud patriot" couldn't win against "the woke greens", what an embarrassment.
Today I sent an email to the Equality and Human Rights Commission with a very simple question: do you actually mean βpromote equality of opportunityβ and βhuman rightsβ, or are those just nice words for the website?
Email shared in full on my blog.
medium.com/@geekonaleas...
You keep telling the public you exist to "promote equality of opportunity." It is a neat little phrase that, if taken literally, would make you the natural ally of people whose lives are hardest to navigate. If taken performatively, it makes a fine slogan for letterheads. Which one are you aiming for? Let me unpack those words, because language matters, and you appear to be short of it. "Promote" promote verb to encourage or support something, or to help something become successful To promote is to act. It is not neutral. It does not mean sit back and publish a press release. To promote is to identify obstacles, intervene where necessary, and check that the changes actually work for the people who need them. If the effect of your interventions is fewer rights for a group, you are not promoting anything. You are regressing (see definition below). "Equality of opportunity" equality of opportunity collocation in English Equality noun the right of different groups of people to have a similar social position and receive the ... Opportunity noun an occasion or situation that makes it possible to do something that you want to do or have to do, or the possibility of. This is a promise that people should have the same real chance to live their lives, work, parent, access public services, and be safe. Equality of opportunity recognises that people's lives are different. It therefore requires adjustments and protections that level the field. Denying access, medical care, or legal recognition to trans people does not preserve equality of opportunity. It destroys it (see regression). "Human rights" human rights plural noun social studies the basic rights to fair and moral treatment that every person is believed to have Human rights are universal, indivisible and immediate. They are not privileges to be dispensed as favours or to be traded away in the name of 'clarity'. If you treat a group's rights as expendable, you are failing the basic grammar of the phrase "human rights."
Regression a return to a previous and less advanced or worse state, condition, or way of behaving Regressing means taking back protections people already had or making policies that are less protective than before. It is not subtle. It is a deliberate move away from safety, 'dignity and respect'. When policy produces regression, you must call it that and act to reverse it. ... You publicly commit to "promote equality of opportunity." That is not decorative language. It is a legal and moral position. It binds you to advance rights, not dilute them. It binds you to protect all protected groups, not quietly decide that some are politically inconvenient β this is a basic requirement of a National Human Rights Institution (NHRI). Yet when it comes to trans people, the direction of travel has been restriction, not expansion. Narrowing our rights rather than safeguarding. This is a regression as per the definition above. You cannot simultaneously claim to promote equality of opportunity while endorsing positions that reduce trans people's access to public life, healthcare, safety or dignity. That is not a complex philosophical puzzle. It is a plain-English problem. If you intend to uphold your mandate - as an NHRI, you should - then uphold it. Defend equality of opportunity in substance, not just in branding. Protect all human rights as universal and indivisible, not selectively negotiable. If, however, you believe that rolling back rights for a minority group is compatible with your mission, then say so openly and amend your public statements accordingly. Because continuing to advertise a commitment you are not prepared to honour is not neutrality. It is a misrepresentation and deception. In closing, I will highlight Clause 11 of the Public Office (Accountability) Bill, of which, if passed into law, you may need to look inwards at the legality of your actions: As an NHRI you "ought to know" that the "act" of regression of rights is "seriously improper".
I have noticed the image of the email does not expand properly on some screens and can be difficult to read, so I will include it here also with alt text:

You all need to choose your own path. But choosing between bigotry and benevolence, is not a choice.

The Labour Party has distributed eve-of-poll leaflets in Gorton and Denton that cite advice from a fake tactical voting website: "Tactical Choice" does not exist and has never existed. The imprint on the leaflets reveals that they are from the Labour Party. This is a new dirty trick, never seen before in a byelection β and it risks letting in Farage's Reform party.
The Labour party are liars... this can't be true π... oh wait, we already know this π€¦ββοΈ
