I was about to say the same. I host a plex server from my PC. Downloading music (or even more so, ripping a CD) really beings back that solo, meditative approach to building a music collection.
PSA for folks in the US. Today you may have a (mostly) local election. These elections likely have the highest direct impact on you and your community, and many folks choose not to participate. Make your voice heard, and get out to vote for your local decision makers!
I don’t know you and your situation obviously, but you might look into what you are eating or drinking in the evenings. If I have any alcohol, I for sure wake up around 3am with a racing mind. I suspect some foods have a similar effect and that it’s related to metabolism for me.
Fully agree about pointing out the hypocrisy to those who are in power and those who are, for lack of a better expression, too far gone.
But what about those who tend to vote conservative, but not exclusively, and are maybe less online and politically informed?
This is trans rights, too. There is no viable position for the Democrats other than “trans rights are human rights.” Trying to triangulate a position where you throw trans people under the bus “just a little” to woo swing voters only feeds the right’s argument that trans people are a threat 1/x

I don’t understand this dichotomy. People are allowed to dislike both, even if they dislike one more than the other. Also, there are many more democratic politicians other than the governor of California.
You are comparing a one-term senator from Chicago with a guy who has been governor of California for 6 years and was mayor of San Francisco for 8.
If he hasn’t made up his mind on trans people and the homeless by now, I don’t think becoming president will solve that.
The other side of that coin is devaluing the work of anyone involved in filmmaking, and the arts in general.
