awesome update: this same 100 was stuck in some of the worst traffic I've ever seen in Vancouver.

Apparently they're short turning the 100s at marine drive station where there's a shuttle to marpole Loop that takes AN HOUR end to end.

it's a 15 minute walk.

Nanaimo was traffic calmed between 1st and Pandora and that stretch is noticeably more comfortable as a ped! As someone who lives on Nanaimo I've been waiting for them to do the same South of 1st for years now 🥲

in all seriousness I think this takes away from the effectiveness of Waterfront as a central station, a lot of people forget it's the busiest station on the network by far! I'm personally holding out for a Hastings line through Waterfront into coal harbour and the west end

oh I will add that RYM has a pretty awesome recommendations feature but you have to actually rate music for it to work (and it might be paywalled lol)

I use RateYourMusic pretty religiously and it's awesome for discovering new music, only problem is that it can be a lot of work. I discover a lot just by clicking around the site. You might be able to get some mileage out of the top charts since you can filter by genre
