ESSENTIAL READING FOR THE ANTHROPOCENE
Thatβs a whole geologic era guys. @stelliform.press do you think we should do a really-really-hardcover edition, Iβm thinking granite probably?
Thank you @sarenaulibarri.bsky.social ππ»πΏ
On a neon computer chip background. βTK Rexβs tales of climate refugees, sentient drones, and multispecies networks pull no punches about the hardships to come, yet leave me feeling hopeful and inspired all the same. Essential reading for the Anthropocene.β - Sarena Ulibarri, author of ANOTHER LIFE and STEEL TREE.
Big thanks to solarpunk trailblazer Sarena Ulibarri for her kind words. βTK Rexβs tales of climate refugees, sentient drones, and multispecies networks pull no punches about the hardships to come, yet leave me feeling hopeful and inspired all the same. Essential reading for the Anthropocene.β
Thanks! I signed up!

Screenshot collage from the Williamsport Gazette about the E.G. Conde speaking event: The second speaker featured as part of Lycoming Collegeβs Environmental Justice Symposium will be creative writer-in-residence E.G. CondΓ©, who will speak on Wednesday, March 4, at 4:30 p.m., in Trogner Presentation Room in the Krapf Gateway Center. CondΓ© will read from his novella βSordidez,β an indigenous futurist climate-fiction novella published with Stelliform Press, and will answer questions about the work. A semester-long series of lectures and hands-on activities the Environmental Justice Symposium is designed to inspire students, faculty, and Williamsport residents to think about how the environment impacts their communities, as well as how art and storytelling can support the environmental justice movement. The goal of the Symposium is to educate the Lycoming College community on environmental justice issues in Pennsylvania and beyond.

Thanks @r-emrys.bsky.social ! This is such a sweet sentiment and so very close to the heart and soul of what I was trying to do with the worldbuilding from the very beginning. Imagine a future where rewilding is synonymous with a return to regionally adapted foods, replacing industrial agriculture π»
Blurb for T. K. Rex's THE WILDCRAFT DRONES from Ruthanna Emrys. "The Wildcraft Drones presents a fascinating future: hopeful, flawed, and ever-changing as characters continually fight for something better. Rare as morel mushrooms, sweet as acorn bread, and unexpected as BBQ-flavored crickets, it will provoke you to imagine new possibilities and find their seeds in roadside blackberries." Ruthanna Emrys is the author of A Half-Built Garden, Winter Tide, and Deep Roots. She also writes radically hopeful short stories about religion and aliens and psycholinguistics.
Grateful to Ruthanna Emrys for this wonderful blurb for THE WILDCRAFT DRONES: βRare as morel mushrooms, sweet as acorn bread, and unexpected as BBQ-flavored cricketsβ¦β Rex's stories root themselves in transformation, resilience, & the small, surprising seeds of change already growing in our lives.

Heads up: for anyone who stopped by to chat with us at the book fair this weekend, if you're feeling poorly you may want to test for Covid and/or stay away from vulnerable friends and family. I tested positive this morning. So far it's stuffy nose/head, sneezing, fever, and quite painful body aches.

A screenshot collage of the "Fens, Tobacco Fields, and Hopeful Cli-Fi" Interview with Lynn Hutchinson Lee, published by Interstellar Flight Press. The interviewer is Lisa Timpf. The excerpt reads: "in my daily life, the kinds of issues you mention are continuously teeming around inside me. For me, the world is ever-present. We donβt move along life on one single narrow track: events, stimuli are always bombarding us. In my own life, I canβt separate them from each other. As I answer this question, Iβm looking out at the garden, seeing the changing leaves, nudged by the grocery list I need to write, or the text messages I have to respond to, remembering the headlines I just read in the paper, thinking about the world events behind the headlines. Theyβre enmeshed, all part of a whole. So, as I relate to the world in this complex way, this is also how I wrote Orchidβs world."
We loved this thoughtful interview with Lynn Hutchinson Lee on cli-fi worlds that feel lived-in and alive. As she says, βthe world is ever-presentβ¦ events, stimuli are always bombarding us.β Also: her upcoming book from Assembly Press has a gorgeous cover! Donβt miss it!
