How the heck did the Spurs come back
How the heck did the Spurs come back
I think we have 1 or 2 in San Francisco!
That'll slow down the process so much and also isn't possible for the basket crowd
And like... Carrying a backpack makes you sweaty! Baskets and panniers aren't just convenient, they help people maintain a more professional workplace
I still can't get over banning baskets... Have they never heard of just alternating the directions the bikes face?
I was checking out NYC Craigslist expecting to find some crazy bikes and it was much lighter than the bay area! It might just be a regional thing
Dang look at Pelosi's guy coming through for her again
That bottom left one is disgusting
Also, there's a better curve here for the cyclist. The pic in the bottom left of the original post looks like it's designed to get the cyclist either doored or to hit a perpendicular curb head on!
Wait what?????
Congratulations!!!!
I'm a deeply flawed individual, but I bring joy to the world.
There are examples of how to implement faregates for American s-bahn type transit systems that lower fare evasion while leaving cyclists and general riders unbothered (*cough* WMATA), and it's totally reasonable to compare Bart's half assed efforts to that and say they could've done better!
Dang I let a post about poor implementation of evasion proof subway gates fly before going out and it turns out a lot of people care more about punching left than implementing good evasion proof subway gates, who would've thunk?
I got blocked too! I guess able bodied users who get their arms trapped enough times they think twice are not valid Bart users in their opinion
Oakland has lost 3 pro sports teams (the bay has lost 2) and somehow Bart has more crowd crushes for special events than it did before, these new gates suck
Sorry dawg, I was out having a good time with real people. Bart gates are significantly slower and inhibit user throughput, and the new standard gates are too narrow for most bikes. Any rush hour or event has lines to get through that take longer than the old gates
To clarify, "these problems" were longer tap times, irregular gate closings on users, unreliable readers, and standard gates too narrow for bikes with insufficient accessible gates to make up for the reduced bike access
WMATA implemented a new evasion proof gate program that had none of these problems and achieved strong measurable improvements across the board! I think it's silly to call a half assed project that reduced throughput and user experience a grown ass project when real examples of those exist
Keeping my eyes out for a DeMar DeRozan Spurs "Education Reform" jersey
I think if I died and found out that my descendants had used AI to write my eulogy I'd invent haunting from first principles
For decades, three roster construction tools have dominated the NBA.
- The draft
- Free agency
- Trading
With the NBA possibility diminishing the effects of the draft, and with free agency essentially dead, what exactly are teams to do?

*arm smh
Like, we famously trained Noriega and supported his rule as well, this isn't really new news
Also our military trains the cartel leaders! There are significant claims that many of Los Zetas were trained at the school of the Americas, and they were the cartel that really upped the ante for violence in Mexico in the past 30 years

Our population buys the drugs, our government makes them illegal domestically and flexes its power to make them illegal in Mexico as well
We are the cartels to tremendous financial gain

Yeah, the US has completely manufactured this crisis
I think the golf and bro-coded nature is working against me the most here, that's normally a key constituency of any sports fandom but a pretty small portion of the broader Valkyries coalition
I need the Valkyries to drop a visor so bad... I like hats but I also like being able to take off my hat and not have hat hair
