Hello Bluesky! I am looking for anyone who cares about/writes about/thinks about Rebecca West.
I've been on a 10 year mission to get her a blue plaque in London and am finally allowed to re-apply after it was last turned down.
I'd welcome help building a strong application.
Thank you ๐๐

This is a really interesting summary of the situation. I would add to this that sitting governments often loose bi-elections and it doesn't help when the MSM are on your back. Plus for me a big story is the Conservatives losing their deposit. That has got to hurt.

Following the ADNR - The Caerphilly Missing Link
Continuing the route of the Alexandra Newport Dock Railway, a look at a short bit of line that has been almost totally destroyed. Penrhos to Caerphilly.
Filmed last year when we had sun, a missing railway link around the Caerphilly area, now buried under a very nice lake.

Untangling Spaghetti at Pontypool
In the late 1800's a tangle of lines surrounded Pontypool. This video explores this and why I shouldn't have tried to gloss over this in a previous one!
Just how many railways could one small Welsh town sustain? Having made a bit of a generalisation on a previous video, come with me as I unravel the Spaghetti that was Pontypool. Also has an IET on a strange working.

They have said they won't be converting anymore D stock. But there are plenty of out or work electric units sitting up at Long Maston that might make use of this technology, especially on some of the West of England branches.

The bit here though is the fast charge technology. Plenty of battery trains out there but can they fully recharge in 3 minutes? I am curious to know.
