From busted Ascaso Steel Duo Plus to a Linea Mini R… what a powerhouse 😍

After a 6-month battle with the retailer I got (most of) my money back for the Ascaso, and now I’ve replaced it with a La Marzocco.

GitHub will start charging per-minute for self-hosted runners in private repositories. I’m not a fan. Charging is one thing and could be reasonable, but charging per-minute is a different game. This is screams “fuck you for not paying us to use our runners”.

This is exactly what my new app is for.

I could certainly see that happening but these days I’m working on another project that might be a better fit, depending on what you’d like to do. I haven’t talked much about the project yet but usually pitch it as “Scriptable without JavaScript”.

Festivitas 1.1.2 for iPhone and iPad is available now.

The update introduces the “Show Whole Days” setting. Enabling it causes the countdown to show only days, so it no longer shows hours, minutes, or seconds.

Designing the widget editor for countdowns was trickier than I expected. I wanted flexibility without clutter, and needed to communicate that text and countdown can work together to create a more descriptive widget.
