The fantastic Will Templeton has released an anthology of his Jack Green folklore/fantasy/crime short stories and you should be getting on it!

It should be illegal for it to look nice but feel cold in Spring.

George Finch, the 19 year old Reform leader of Warks. County Council, is doing his best to help prove their first point. Not in the way they'd intended admittedly.

Dennis the Menace at 75: Two characters and two birthdays on the same day Dennis the Menace was published 75 years ago, but so was another comic with exactly the same name, on exactly the same day

Also the 75th birthday of the U.K. Dennis the Menace, albeit his official publication date was five days later, copies went on sale on the 12th. It’s one of my all time favourite coincidences.

Helpfully, Word has decided this is the size all documents should be opened at today. #AmWriting

That fifth Champions League spot for English clubs is looking less of a sure thing at the moment.

I absolutely do and yes, I know at that point I'm completely lost in what I'm writing to the point where I don't realise I'm making these noises or actions and I cannot lie, it is one of the best feelings. I love that writing can do that.

Does anyone else get told off by their partner for mimicking their characters in certain situations? Apparently I tend to breathe like them at certain points, usually tenser sections of the manuscript. I've no doubt it can be annoying, but I need to get into that moment! #AmWriting

Anyone else finding that Threads desktop app is taking forever to load? I still need to look into finding a Threads/Bluesky shared feed. That would be incredible.

I always give them one of my two votes in council elections because they've done a bang up job locally. And I'd never rule out voting for them tactically in a GE if I was in a situation where that might be the best move. But Clegg, he can do one, if I'm being polite.

Like pretty much the rest of the 'verse, I've no idea what the cast of #Firefly are hinting at. All I know is I'm all in on it. Whatever it is. Seeing these videos has been great. I won't let my hopes get too high, but it's been awesome to see the cast back together even in this way. Love that show.

Happy #WorldBookDay everyone. I nearly forgot, as my kids school don't do their fancy dress till tomorrow, so thanks to everyone on my feeds for saving me! Read a book today. Support an author, an indie if you can. Find something you love & in this mad world, take some time to lose yourself.

Mbeumo has been a passenger of late. Adds little to the team in Carrick’s setup. Amad far more potent in that position. Carrick has been found wanting and this should end the talk of him getting the job full time. This result has been coming. #MUFC

Sometimes you read a book & by the end of the 1st chapter you know you've done right. With Damiano Polcaro's Bastard, I knew by the end of the 1st page. If you're a fan of twisty, slick, funny, brutal thrillers, then get this. One of my favourite reads of the year. www.amazon.co.uk/Bastard-grip...

In the last day or so I’ve found myself with a nine year old and another child with a confirmed place at secondary school, which is mad when you consider I myself am only in my twenties.

Started re-reading Project Hail Mary ahead of going to the cinema to see it soon, but then started remembering bits I’d forgotten and now can’t decide if I should continue on or allow that rediscovery for the film…

Came within half hour of this post, despite with every drop the time getting further into the distance. 🤷

Better that than the alternative though!

Parcel delivery website; "Your parcel is two stops and half a mile away."

Also parcel delivery website; "Your parcel won't arrive for nearly three hours."

That's one hell of a lunch break. Fair play.

Whilst I don't have love for the leader of either party, today gives me more hope for the possibility of a Labour-Green coalition gov. It would move politics back to the left. I can't see Greens winning a majority, or Labour course correcting under Starmer, so this feels the best case scenario.

27.02.2026 09:18 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

Last night proves there is a huge groundswell of support for the politics of the left. That Labour came third is all down to Starmer. He has led the party away from those ideals and in this by-election he put self preservation ahead of the party. He must resign. (Preferably once Burnham’s back)
