honestly not a terrible idea
You are correct
Never underestimate the bandwidth of a van full of hard drives going down the motorway
I want to buy a laptop from someone here in the UK.
I would like some protection like I would get using eBay or another public marketplace site, but the sale isn't open to other buyers.
Can anyone recommend a service for this? π
Yeah! I'm so impressed by how high the quality was all around. Not a single dud talk, the the hallway track was fantastic
Genuinely my favourite conference I've attended so far. It was brilliantly organised, all the talks were amazing, and it was such a pleasure to talk to everyone and finally meet people in person who I had only known online.
Definitely will be back for Gleam Gathering 2027!
Danielle's talk on the correct way to abbreviate the term "WebAssembly" was excellent.
(ok it also was about Gleam and Wasm itself, but the abbreviation bit seemed key)
I am loving this series of dev-blogs from @curlingio on their migration to Gleam.
It's so interesting and informative to see inside big projects like these, and to understand the decisions and the challenges.
If you have time, please publish reports like these for your projects!
More Gleam swag here too btw π

I feel like you shouldn't complain about people stealing your content when you famously stole all your content.
Still buzzing after Gleam Gathering. It was so good!
What an incredible community Gleam has. π
They don't have any particular gimmick. There's a comparison to other ISPs on their website which could be informative perhaps.
Should we move the @gleam.run infrastructure to @upcloud.com ?
Have a good one tef!
I constantly hear Goatmire is the GOAT of conferences, appropriately. Don't sleep on this one folks
Gleam Gathering is almost here!

It did!
Gleam has a backwards compatibility guarantee but not a forwards compatibility guarantee, so folks who opt to use older versions may need to specify older versions of dependencies in their gleam.toml.
We don't do this by default for security reasons.
Yeah most folks use one of those tools for this reason. Fedora also has recently had problems with shipping packages that are broken due to some of them requiring a version of Erlang that isn't the one it ships, unfortunately.
I would recommend asdf, mise, or beamup. Or curling the static binary.
omg
Ok hear me out, @gleam.run Valentine's cards
Jak is Gleam Rust streaming!

Yesterday I beat my childhood favourite game, Diablo 2. Today it gets its first major update in 25 years.
Nice of them to wait for me!
Last chance to get your opinion hear before I close the Gleam developer survey and start my analysis!
Shape what the next year of Gleam will be!

I have some multi-language blueray discs that I'm worried are starting to fail.
Do you have a blueray/dvd backup tool or workflow to recommend? π
OK that is really cool. How does it know the layer?
Thanks!
What's DMS?
ooo lovely, thank you.
