a detail at the top of my tapestry that I’m not sure anyone has noticed so far… “Chattanooga Halleluja” spelled out in the windows as a reference to YGTUT, one of several great rappers to come out of Chattanooga in the last decade.

over the summer I embroidered this giant tapestry about mill towns and textile strikes. now I’m working on another one about streetcar drivers and their militant labor struggle in the early 20th century!
