A group of Goldeneye at RSPB Leighton Moss earlier last week. Plenty displaying. Great to see and get a nature fix.

Thank you.
Thanks, Dave. I'll check.
Thanks Margot. That's what I got via iNaturalist too. Was wanting to confirm it's correct ๐
Is it possible to ID this at all? Trapped last night in my garden in Chester. @mothiduk.bsky.social #mothsmatter #teammoth
An early morning start and visit to RSPB Leighton Moss. A lovely reserve always worth a visit. Rewarded with a family of four Otters from the hide. Amongst usual suspects were Marsh Tit too. Great start to the week!
Fungi finds from RSPB Burton Mere Wetlands on the weekend. Fungi isn't my strongest taxa when it comes to identification. Here's what I think I've recorded: Stereum sp, Jelly Ear, Orange Peel Fungus (Aleuria sp.), Elf Cup Fungus (Sarcoscypha sp.) and Yellow Brain.
Happy to be corrected.
Some snaps from an afternoon wander around RSPB Burton Mere Wetlands yesterday.
A walk round the park at lunch where the office is situated for a wildlife fix. Nice to see some colour and the first flowers emerging. Snowdrops and Crocus. Looking forward to the lighter evenings soon.
Afternoon trip to RSPB Burton Mere. Much needed this weekend to clear my head. Nature always makes us feel better. Distant shot of a Brent Goose too.
Group of Grey Partridge on yesterday's survey. Not sure they were amused by my presence though!
Tufted Duck. A common sighting, but a beautiful bird none the less. This male I saw on Budworth Mere at Marbury Country Park.
Female Goosander from yesterday at Marbury Country Park.
Thanks Rob. Much appreciated.
This morning's highlight at Marbury Country Park. Never tire of seeing a Kingfisher. #kingfisher #ukbirds #marburycountrypark

An adorable Tufted Titmouse perches on a lichen covered branch while waiting for peanuts to be offered.
Love this photo.
Nice to see some flowering plants around the village this week. Greater Periwinkle, Snowdrops and Common Daisy. @bsbibotany.bsky.social #botany #flowers #january
Flashback to this ace encounter with a Weasel in 2021 at Burton Point, Cheshire. It was in view for the best part of an hour. Such a great wildlife moment. @mammalsociety.bsky.social #cheshire #ukwildlife #cheshire #mammal #weasel
Hi, thank you for the information. I'll check it out.
