I decided to return to my roots and get things started with an absolute beginners guide to the framework

Had to use .Net 8/Blazor at work today.
It's like Rails if none of the generators did anything and you had to do everything twice.
And yet it's still better than most other frameworks I've used.
Crazy how productive Ruby on Rails 8 makes you by comparison though.
Can't wait to go back to just using one micro blogging platform lol
Switched one of my @deanout.com game servers to OVH from Contabo because my old server was over provisioned like crazy.
Had Palworld running in 5 minutes from the checkout page.
Games perform amazingly now.
Will probably point people towards OVH going forward, amazing service.

And let me tell you, it's one of the funniest projects I've ever worked on. But I've also learned a lot about how to fine tune a model for a specific use case. I'm still a little hesitant on AI uses, but this cleared up some questions on where they might be helpful in the business world.
I then built a Discord bot that listens on a websocket to the Python app so the bot can play the audio in real time to people in the discord call.
It then stores the response in a vector database for long-term memory and emotion retrieval, and sends the result to Elevenlabs where I've made a copy of my voice as I'm acting like a radical sailor dad from the 90s.
This weekend I built a Ruby on Rails app that controls a FastAPI Python app that captures your microphone audio, uses TTS, sends it to OpenAI, runs sentiment analysis on the output, stores it in a vector database for long-term memory and emotion retrieval.

One of my biggest blockers is YML file management, I've put it off for so long
I need to store templates, versions, replicate them between environments, and allow user submissions
Basically I need to setup an entire YML CMS
And so far I have a folder and magic strings 😂
Recaps like this are going to become almost mandatory if people continue to divide their attention between platforms.
Might need to think of a way to do something similar.
