Yay!!!
I write coming-of-age, some set in the 60s, some in the 90s. I also write some comedy/horror and non fiction. I'm interested in writing some suspense thrillers and romance too.

Yes!
Finished my first pass re-write to Canadianize my book! I've got characters eating Shreddies, listening to Triumph, panhandling on Granville St, taking the bus to Kootenay Loop, eating at A&W, visiting the Ivanhoe and getting picked up by VPD.
One of my favourite Canada things is that with a 9 team Canadian Football League, we still had two teams with the same name.
Rewrote the first scene in my book setting it in Vancouver. It feels weird, but good.
Kobo is very legit. And I prefer it over Amazon. The Kobo ready is awesome too.
Once you have both files, make sure you take note of where any corrections are, because it's a pain having to correct things in two separate places - I can't count how many times I've changed things in the print and forgotten to note where so I can do it in the epub.

Breaking news is the one thing I miss from Twitter. I think hashtags will help with it. I like that it's overall nicer here. Seems like way more creatives came here than other sites.
My mom hasn't caught it yet either. Both my sister and I had it last year and were sharing a house with her (and I was sharing a bathroom!) but we masked and stayed apart and it seemed to work. I was down for almost 3 weeks though (tested positive for 10 days) so it sucked.
Every hotel should have this!
I'm really interested in trying this out. I was with Mailchimp, then Mailerlite, but I hated both of them lol. I just hate learning new things because it always overwhelms me at first.
Here's a few of mine for my 60s set crime/family series. I really need to get on doing a family photo shoot with all of my covers lol.
