The good news is that she (ragdoll) is REALLY not a jumper. My two (Turkish Angoras) wish to be one with the ceiling at all times, so the various shelves I've put around the house are safe viewing platforms for them.

I knew I wanted to do a floral suit, so I cracked open my floriography book and found “flowers for an absent lover”: zinnia (I mourn your absence. Yellow: daily remembrance. Magenta: lasting affection), aster (patience), ivy (fidelity) and Indian jasmine (attachment). I like to think he’d wear this while missing Lilith but also still wanting to feel pretty. I also believe in every rococo suit he wears, his snake buddy is hiding up his sleeve; there’s lots of room in there to get comfy! The lace for his cuffs and jabot also have floral/organic designs and are inspired by needle lace from the mid 18th century.

I nicknamed this suit the “Eden Suit” during the design phase. The scales in the jacket and breeches represent how Lucifer is the snake, along with the slithery, wavy gold boarders along the jacket and waistcoat. His cane topper still holds the silhouette of the apple, but it also has a snake carving wrapped around it. The trees represent the garden of Eden, while the apple buttons, sequin apples and apple blossoms on the waistcoat and cuffs represent… you know… the apple 🍎

The Lucifer wallpaper pattern was perfect for his wrapping gown, made all the easier by Artyphex on Reddit who created this free to use pattern (thank you!). This design is inspired by the real occult sigil for Lucifer, so it’s perfect for his personal wrapping gown! The lace on his cuffs and jabot are meant to look like little birds. A ditto suit is a suit that used the same fabric for its jacket, waistcoat and breeches, so I thought a repeating apple design would be fitting. The design on his duck is inspired by rococo china and tableware, which favoured florals, heavy gilding and occasionally large blocks of colour.

This was nicknamed the “Heaven Suit”. I wanted it to feel colder and more detached from his regular colours; a little stiffer. So I chose a colour that was colder (though still favoured in rococo suits) that would fit in up in Heaven. I also thought it appropriate to include more sparkle and metalwork for this reason, having his waistcoat be fully embroidered with silver thread, purl and spangles (old timey sequins). Brass thread is more time period accurate, but I made it gold to be more snooty. There are also a lot of wing, sun and starlight iconography to match both Heaven and Lucifers role in it as the Light Bringer/Morningstar.

a bunch of drawn diagrams of hand stretches. the text at the top reads MAKE TIME TO STRETCH! it shows wrist extensions and flexions, with the arm straight out and hand palm out with the hand gently stretched up and down. the same stretches with the hand in a fist. the same stretch but with the palm against a wall. a stretch of pressing your palms together with wrists parallel to the ground and slowly lowering the heels of the palms. and a gentle shaking out of the hands.

since this will always be circulating, i might as well be the first one to put it here: the stretch tips i made many years ago… remember to stop and stretch and take care of your hands! be mindful of your work time & listen to your body.

feels appropriate to bring up the "if you can walk to the cafe but the barista has to drive an hour to work there, you dont live in a walkable community, you live in a theme park" anecdote here
