Just bugs me, even as a denizen of The Glorious Soviet Republic of Canucklestan, that your cost of living goes up to "punish" a Supreme Court ruling, while Trump pockets so much and sets up said spin that so many will believe.

So, the next administration can then be accused of "weakening the armed forces/making America unsafe" or being "anti-business/against capitalism/punishing exceptionalism" while they pay for the tariff mistakes of this administration. The spin will get them and the Trump family made taxpayer bank.

My guess: Temu Ceaușescu is keeping all tariffs in place and adding the new 10% one, despite that 90%of the US pop. Has figured out they pay, not the countries that they're tagged to, so a new tax to add to inflation. He keeps them until losing the midterms (if he lets those happen,) and is forced to pay it back, but delays until he's out of office and a Democrat president has that tagged into the budget, so their budget gets screwed with extra "government spending" (cleaning up Trump's mess)... and right now, he spends like a drunken sailor on things like the bullish!t like $10bil for his private "peace board".

It'll be the 2029 Repubs claiming Democrat spending is out of control, while the Trump family figure out how to hide their billions they snagged from the taxpayers.

So prices will go down, right? Not on most things. If the tariffs are gone and even if they're paid back to the importers, they have now seen what Americans are willing to pay, so - lower costs to bring things in and higher prices paid by consumers = Shareholder Value! Thank Temu Ceaușescu for that.
