btw: mostly RSS memory that doesn't get free'd up. So outside of the Beam.

It gets free'd eventually, multiple short bursts of concurrent tasks can increase it unsustainably.

Anyone experience with Rustler/NIF not free-ing up memory ?
Is there any way around it or is the solution just to use Ports?

Also: how the heck did so many companies end up using Python. Especially if they don't do ML.

Frontend: If you know TS + React/Vue - you cover most job requirements.

Backend? Completely other story. Add Databases, scaling problems and a few other expertises (KVS, Event systems, ...) and your options are limited.

While we like to complain about the Frontend ecosystem constantly changing. At least they have one language.

Backend has the problem of language diversity.

Bose Ultra. NC is amazing.

I tried the Sony. NC is a little bit better. But after 10+ years with Bose, I am too used to their sound profile to switch.

Only downside: Turning them on/off is confusing (weird delay compared to QC35/25).
