Recurring gripe: people on the left have social media and generative AI exactly backwards. Gen AI is the printing press: it cannot and will not be uninvented. It can run on a laptop at this point. Social media is a handful of specific companies with specific first mover and network effects.
Some insightful observations and writing, in the need for challenge in coming from #boyhood into #manhood from #BenMcKie. I got this through #Scouts, #MountainBikes and learning to organise #LARP, as a teenager. This spoke to me. Thanks Ben 🙏

It's not yet at a point where it's useful. I've run a deep trial of it over the last three days. While it can stay running indefinitely, communicate through messaging apps and run autonomously, it's highly erratic, forgets what it's doing and takes big risks.
I setup #clawdbot/ #moltbot/ #openclaw as name iteration seem to have run, 3 days ago, gave it a massive Obsidian memory set I already had for #ClaudeCode. Result? Rapid chaotic lurching potential mess! Like your most talented mate that went on a huge charlie bender! This is not ready for dev... yet
I’ve had one for about 2 years. I use it for drifting off to sleep with podcasts playing just to me. My mum’s good one now and too. They are reasonably comparable and hold a charger for a few nights listening 👍

I had a series of layout issues with Safari producing different results to Chrome and Firefox with model overlays. Rather than using Playwrite I gave Claude Opus 4.5 screenshots with instructions drawings that I’d written on them. It iterated through working out fixed very reliably.
